يَّشْهَدُهُ الْمُقَرَّبُوْنَۗ  ( المطففين: ٢١ )

yashhaduhu
يَشْهَدُهُ
Witness it
l-muqarabūna
ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ
those brought near

Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah].

Tafsir

اِنَّ الْاَبْرَارَ لَفِيْ نَعِيْمٍۙ  ( المطففين: ٢٢ )

inna
إِنَّ
Indeed
l-abrāra
ٱلْأَبْرَارَ
the righteous
lafī
لَفِى
(will be) surely in
naʿīmin
نَعِيمٍ
bliss

Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure

Tafsir

عَلَى الْاَرَاۤىِٕكِ يَنْظُرُوْنَۙ  ( المطففين: ٢٣ )

ʿalā
عَلَى
On
l-arāiki
ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ
thrones
yanẓurūna
يَنظُرُونَ
observing

On adorned couches, observing.

Tafsir

تَعْرِفُ فِيْ وُجُوْهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيْمِۚ  ( المطففين: ٢٤ )

taʿrifu
تَعْرِفُ
You will recognize
فِى
in
wujūhihim
وُجُوهِهِمْ
their faces
naḍrata
نَضْرَةَ
(the) radiance
l-naʿīmi
ٱلنَّعِيمِ
(of) bliss

You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure.

Tafsir

يُسْقَوْنَ مِنْ رَّحِيْقٍ مَّخْتُوْمٍۙ  ( المطففين: ٢٥ )

yus'qawna
يُسْقَوْنَ
They will be given to drink
min
مِن
of
raḥīqin
رَّحِيقٍ
a pure wine
makhtūmin
مَّخْتُومٍ
sealed

They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed.

Tafsir

خِتٰمُهٗ مِسْكٌ ۗوَفِيْ ذٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُوْنَۗ  ( المطففين: ٢٦ )

خِتَٰمُهُۥ
Its seal
mis'kun
مِسْكٌۚ
(will be of) musk
wafī
وَفِى
And for
dhālika
ذَٰلِكَ
that
falyatanāfasi
فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ
let aspire
l-mutanāfisūna
ٱلْمُتَنَٰفِسُونَ
the aspirers

The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete.

Tafsir

وَمِزَاجُهٗ مِنْ تَسْنِيْمٍۙ  ( المطففين: ٢٧ )

wamizājuhu
وَمِزَاجُهُۥ
And its mixture

تَسْنِيمٍ
Tasnim

And its mixture is of Tasneem,

Tafsir

عَيْنًا يَّشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُوْنَۗ  ( المطففين: ٢٨ )

ʿaynan
عَيْنًا
A spring
yashrabu
يَشْرَبُ
will drink
bihā
بِهَا
from it
l-muqarabūna
ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ
those brought near

A spring from which those near [to Allah] drink.

Tafsir

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اَجْرَمُوْا كَانُوْا مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا يَضْحَكُوْنَۖ  ( المطففين: ٢٩ )

Indeed
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
ajramū
أَجْرَمُوا۟
committed crimes
kānū
كَانُوا۟
used (to)
mina
مِنَ
at
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
āmanū
ءَامَنُوا۟
believed
yaḍḥakūna
يَضْحَكُونَ
laugh

Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.

Tafsir

وَاِذَا مَرُّوْا بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُوْنَۖ  ( المطففين: ٣٠ )

wa-idhā
وَإِذَا
And when
marrū
مَرُّوا۟
they passed
bihim
بِهِمْ
by them
yataghāmazūna
يَتَغَامَزُونَ
they winked at one another

And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances.
