وَأَنْ
And [that]
أَلْقِ
throw
عَصَاكَۖ
your staff"
فَلَمَّا
But when
رَءَاهَا
he saw it
تَهْتَزُّ
moving
كَأَنَّهَا
as if it
جَآنٌّ
(were) a snake
وَلَّىٰ
he turned
مُدْبِرًا
(in) flight
وَلَمْ
and (did) not
يُعَقِّبْۚ
return
يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ
"O Musa!
أَقْبِلْ
Draw near
وَلَا
and (do) not
تَخَفْۖ
fear
إِنَّكَ
Indeed you
مِنَ
(are) of
ٱلْءَامِنِينَ
the secure

Wa an alqi 'asaaka falam maa ra aahaa tahtazzu ka annnahaa jaaannunw wallaa mudbiranw wa lam yu'aqqib; yaa Moosaa aqbil wa laa takhaf innaka minal aamineen

And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it was a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [Allah said], "O Moses, approach and fear not. Indeed, you are of the secure.

Tafsir

ٱسْلُكْ
Insert
يَدَكَ
your hand
فِى
in
جَيْبِكَ
your bosom
تَخْرُجْ
it will come forth
بَيْضَآءَ
white
مِنْ
without
غَيْرِ
without
سُوٓءٍ
any harm
وَٱضْمُمْ
And draw
إِلَيْكَ
to yourselves
جَنَاحَكَ
your hand
مِنَ
against
ٱلرَّهْبِۖ
fear
فَذَٰنِكَ
So these
بُرْهَٰنَانِ
(are) two evidences
مِن
from
رَّبِّكَ
your Lord
إِلَىٰ
to
فِرْعَوْنَ
Firaun
وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦٓۚ
and his chiefs
إِنَّهُمْ
Indeed, they
كَانُوا۟
are
قَوْمًا
a people
فَٰسِقِينَ
defiantly disobedient"

Usluk yadaka fee jaibika takhruj baidaaa'a min ghairi sooo'inw wadmum ilaika janaahaka minar rahbi fazaanika burhaanaani mir Rabbika ilaa Fiw'awna wa mala'ih; innahum kaanoo qawman faasiqeen

Insert your hand into the opening of your garment; it will come out white, without disease. And draw in your arm close to you [as prevention] from fear, for those are two proofs from your Lord to Pharaoh and his establishment. Indeed, they have been a people defiantly disobedient."

Tafsir

قَالَ
He said
رَبِّ
"My Lord!
إِنِّى
Indeed
قَتَلْتُ
I killed
مِنْهُمْ
of them
نَفْسًا
a man
فَأَخَافُ
and I fear
أَن
that
يَقْتُلُونِ
they will kill me

Qaala Rabbi innee qataltu minhum nafsan fa akhaafu ai yaqtuloon

He said, "My Lord, indeed I killed from among them someone, and I fear they will kill me.

Tafsir

وَأَخِى
And my brother
هَٰرُونُ
Harun
هُوَ
he
أَفْصَحُ
(is) more eloquent
مِنِّى
than me
لِسَانًا
(in) speech
فَأَرْسِلْهُ
so send him
مَعِىَ
with me
رِدْءًا
(as) a helper
يُصَدِّقُنِىٓۖ
who will confirm me
إِنِّىٓ
Indeed
أَخَافُ
I fear
أَن
that
يُكَذِّبُونِ
they will deny me"

Wa akhee Haaroonu huwa afsahu minnee lisaanan fa arsilhu ma'iya rid ai yusaddiquneee innee akhaafu ai yukazziboon

And my brother Aaron is more fluent than me in tongue, so send him with me as support, verifying me. Indeed, I fear that they will deny me."

Tafsir

قَالَ
He said
سَنَشُدُّ
"We will strengthen
عَضُدَكَ
your arm
بِأَخِيكَ
through your brother
وَنَجْعَلُ
and We will make
لَكُمَا
for both of you
سُلْطَٰنًا
an authority
فَلَا
so not
يَصِلُونَ
they will reach
إِلَيْكُمَاۚ
to both of you
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ
Through Our Signs
أَنتُمَا
you two
وَمَنِ
and (those) who
ٱتَّبَعَكُمَا
follow you
ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ
(will) be the dominant"

Qaala sanashuddu 'adudaka bi akheeka wa naj'alu lakumaa sultaanan falaa yasiloona ilaikumaa; bi Aayaatinaa antumaa wa manit taba'akumal ghaaliboon

[Allah] said, "We will strengthen your arm through your brother and grant you both supremacy so they will not reach you. [It will be] through Our signs; you and those who follow you will be the predominant."

Tafsir

فَلَمَّا
But when
جَآءَهُم
came to them
مُّوسَىٰ
Musa
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
with Our Signs
بَيِّنَٰتٍ
clear
قَالُوا۟
they said
مَا
"Not
هَٰذَآ
(is) this
إِلَّا
except
سِحْرٌ
a magic
مُّفْتَرًى
invented
وَمَا
and not
سَمِعْنَا
we heard
بِهَٰذَا
of this
فِىٓ
among
ءَابَآئِنَا
our forefathers"
ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
our forefathers"

Falammaa jaaa'ahum Moosaa bi Aayaatinaa baiyinaatin qaaloo maa haazaaa illaa sihrum muftaranw wa maa sami'naa bihaazaa feee aabaaa'inal awwaleen

But when Moses came to them with Our signs as clear evidences, they said, "This is not except invented magic, and we have not heard of this [religion] among our forefathers."

Tafsir

وَقَالَ
And Musa said
مُوسَىٰ
And Musa said
رَبِّىٓ
"My Lord
أَعْلَمُ
knows best
بِمَن
of who
جَآءَ
has come
بِٱلْهُدَىٰ
with [the] guidance
مِنْ
from Him
عِندِهِۦ
from Him
وَمَن
and who
تَكُونُ
will be
لَهُۥ
for him
عَٰقِبَةُ
the good end in the Hereafter
ٱلدَّارِۖ
the good end in the Hereafter
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed
لَا
not
يُفْلِحُ
will be successful
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
the wrongdoers"

Wa qaala Moosaa Rabbeee a'alamu biman jaaa'a bilhudaa min 'indihee wa man takoonu lahoo 'aaqibatud daari innahoo laa yuflihuz zaalimoon

And Moses said, "My Lord is more knowing [than we or you] of who has come with guidance from Him and to whom will be succession in the home. Indeed, wrongdoers do not succeed."

Tafsir

وَقَالَ
And Firaun said
فِرْعَوْنُ
And Firaun said
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
"O chiefs!
ٱلْمَلَأُ
"O chiefs!
مَا
Not
عَلِمْتُ
I know
لَكُم
for you
مِّنْ
any
إِلَٰهٍ
god
غَيْرِى
other than me
فَأَوْقِدْ
So kindle
لِى
for me
يَٰهَٰمَٰنُ
O Haman!
عَلَى
Upon
ٱلطِّينِ
the clay
فَٱجْعَل
and make
لِّى
for me
صَرْحًا
a lofty tower
لَّعَلِّىٓ
so that [I]
أَطَّلِعُ
I may look
إِلَىٰٓ
at
إِلَٰهِ
(the) God
مُوسَىٰ
(of) Musa
وَإِنِّى
And indeed, I
لَأَظُنُّهُۥ
[I] think that he
مِنَ
(is) of
ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ
the liars"

Wa qaala Fir'awnu yaaa aiyuhal mala-u maa 'alimtu lakum min ilaahin ghairee fa awqid lee yaa Haamaanu 'alatteeni faj'al lee sarhal la'alleee attali'u ilaaa ilaahi Moosaa wa innee la azunnuhoo minal kaazibeen

And Pharaoh said, "O eminent ones, I have not known you to have a god other than me. Then ignite for me, O Haman, [a fire] upon the clay and make for me a tower that I may look at the God of Moses. And indeed, I do think he is among the liars."

Tafsir

وَٱسْتَكْبَرَ
And he was arrogant
هُوَ
And he was arrogant
وَجُنُودُهُۥ
and his hosts
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the land
بِغَيْرِ
without
ٱلْحَقِّ
right
وَظَنُّوٓا۟
and they thought
أَنَّهُمْ
that they
إِلَيْنَا
to Us
لَا
not
يُرْجَعُونَ
will be returned

Wastakbara huwa wa junooduhoo fil ardi bighairil haqqi wa zannooo annahum ilainaa laa yurja'oon

And he was arrogant, he and his soldiers, in the land, without right, and they thought that they would not be returned to Us.

Tafsir

فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ
So We seized him
وَجُنُودَهُۥ
and his hosts
فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ
and We threw them
فِى
in
ٱلْيَمِّۖ
the sea
فَٱنظُرْ
So see
كَيْفَ
how
كَانَ
was
عَٰقِبَةُ
(the) end
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
(of) the wrongdoers

Fa akhaznaahu wa junoo dahoo fanabaznaahum fil yammi fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatuz zaalimeen

So We took him and his soldiers and threw them into the sea. So see how was the end of the wrongdoers.
