وَاِذۡ نَجَّيۡنٰکُمۡ مِّنۡ اٰلِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ يَسُوۡمُوۡنَكُمۡ سُوۡٓءَ الۡعَذَابِ يُذَبِّحُوۡنَ اَبۡنَآءَكُمۡ وَيَسۡتَحۡيُوۡنَ نِسَآءَكُمۡؕ وَفِىۡ ذٰلِكُمۡ بَلَاۤءٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّكُمۡ عَظِيۡمٌ(البقرة :49)
Waith najjaynakum min ali fir'awna yasoomoonakum sooa al'athabi yuthabbihoona abnaakum wayastahyoona nisaakum wafee thalikum balaon min rabbikum 'atheemun
Sahih International:
And [recall] when We saved your forefathers from the people of Pharaoh, who afflicted you with the worst torment, slaughtering your [newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord.
كَدَاۡبِ اٰلِ فِرۡعَوۡنَۙ وَالَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡؕ كَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِنَا ۚ فَاَخَذَهُمُ اللّٰهُ بِذُنُوۡبِهِمۡؕ وَاللّٰهُ شَدِيۡدُ الۡعِقَابِ(آل عمران :11)
Kadabi ali fir'awna waallatheena min qablihim kaththaboo biayatina faakhathahumu Allahu bithunoobihim waAllahu shadeedu al'iqabi
Sahih International:
[Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They denied Our signs, so Allah seized them for their sins. And Allah is severe in penalty.
وَاِذۡ اَنۡجَيۡنٰكُمۡ مِّنۡ اٰلِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ يَسُوۡمُوۡنَـكُمۡ سُوۡٓءَ الۡعَذَابِ ۚ يُقَتِّلُوۡنَ اَبۡنَآءَكُمۡ وَ يَسۡتَحۡيُوۡنَ نِسَآءَكُمۡ ؕ وَفِىۡ ذٰ لِكُمۡ بَلَاۤ ءٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّكُمۡ عَظِيۡمٌ(الأعراف :141)
Waith anjaynakum min ali fir'awna yasoomoonakum sooa al'athabi yuqattiloona abnaakum wayastahyoona nisaakum wafee thalikum balaon min rabbikum 'atheemun
Sahih International:
And [recall, O Children of Israel], when We saved you from the people of Pharaoh, [who were] afflicting you with the worst torment - killing your sons and keeping your women alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord.
وَلَقَدۡ فَتَنَّا قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَ جَآءَهُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌ كَرِيۡمٌۙ(الدخان :17)
Walaqad fatanna qablahum qawma fir'awna wajaahum rasoolun kareemun
Sahih International:
And We had already tried before them the people of Pharaoh, and there came to them a noble messenger,
اَنۡ اَدُّوۡۤا اِلَىَّ عِبَادَ اللّٰهِؕ اِنِّىۡ لَـكُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌ اَمِيۡنٌۙ(الدخان :18)
An addoo ilayya 'ibada Allahi innee lakum rasoolun ameenun
Sahih International:
[Saying], "Render to me the servants of Allah . Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger,"
وَّاَنۡ لَّا تَعۡلُوۡا عَلَى اللّٰهِۚ اِنِّىۡۤ اٰتِيۡكُمۡ بِسُلۡطٰنٍ مُّبِيۡنٍۚ(الدخان :19)
Waan la ta'loo 'ala Allahi innee ateekum bisultanin mubeenin
Sahih International:
And [saying], "Be not haughty with Allah . Indeed, I have come to you with clear authority.
وَاِنِّىۡ عُذۡتُ بِرَبِّىۡ وَرَبِّكُمۡ اَنۡ تَرۡجُمُوۡنِ(الدخان :20)
Wainnee 'uthtu birabbee warabbikum an tarjumooni
Sahih International:
And indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord, lest you stone me.
وَاِنۡ لَّمۡ تُؤۡمِنُوۡا لِىۡ فَاعۡتَزِلُوۡنِ(الدخان :21)
Wain lam tuminoo lee fai'tazilooni
Sahih International:
But if you do not believe me, then leave me alone."
فَدَعَا رَبَّهٗۤ اَنَّ هٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ قَوۡمٌ مُّجۡرِمُوۡنَ(الدخان :22)
Fada'a rabbahu anna haolai qawmun mujrimoona
Sahih International:
And [finally] he called to his Lord that these were a criminal people.
فَاَسۡرِ بِعِبَادِىۡ لَيۡلًا اِنَّكُمۡ مُّتَّبَعُوۡنَۙ(الدخان :23)
Faasri bi'ibadee laylan innakum muttaba'oona
Sahih International:
[ Allah said], "Then set out with My servants by night. Indeed, you are to be pursued.
