Surah [2] Al-Baqara : 154

وَلَا تَقُوۡلُوۡا لِمَنۡ يُّقۡتَلُ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ اَمۡوَاتٌ ؕ بَلۡ اَحۡيَآءٌ وَّلٰـكِنۡ لَّا تَشۡعُرُوۡنَ(البقرة :154)

وَلَا
And (do) not
تَقُولُوا۟
say
لِمَن
for (the ones) who
يُقْتَلُ
are slain
فِى
in
سَبِيلِ
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
أَمْوَٰتٌۢۚ
"(They are) dead
بَلْ
Nay
أَحْيَآءٌ
(they are) alive
وَلَٰكِن
[and] but
لَّا
you (do) not
تَشْعُرُونَ
perceive

Wala taqooloo liman yuqtalu fee sabeeli Allahi amwatun bal ahyaon walakin la tash'uroona

Sahih International:

And do not say about those who are killed in the way of Allah, "They are dead." Rather, they are alive, but you perceive [it] not.

Surah [3] Ali Imran : 169

وَلَا تَحۡسَبَنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ قُتِلُوۡا فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ اَمۡوَاتًا ‌ؕ بَلۡ اَحۡيَآءٌ عِنۡدَ رَبِّهِمۡ يُرۡزَقُوۡنَۙ(آل عمران :169)

وَلَا
And (do) not
تَحْسَبَنَّ
think
ٱلَّذِينَ
(of) those who
قُتِلُوا۟
are killed
فِى
in
سَبِيلِ
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
أَمْوَٰتًۢاۚ
(as) dead
بَلْ
Nay!
أَحْيَآءٌ
They are alive
عِندَ
near
رَبِّهِمْ
their Lord;
يُرْزَقُونَ
they are given provision

Wala tahsabanna allatheena qutiloo fee sabeeli Allahi amwatan bal ahyaon 'inda rabbihim yurzaqoona

Sahih International:

And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision,

Surah [3] Ali Imran : 185

كُلُّ نَفۡسٍ ذَآٮِٕقَةُ الۡمَوۡتِ‌ؕ وَاِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوۡنَ اُجُوۡرَكُمۡ يَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ‌ؕ فَمَنۡ زُحۡزِحَ عَنِ النَّارِ وَاُدۡخِلَ الۡجَـنَّةَ فَقَدۡ فَازَ ‌ؕ وَمَا الۡحَيٰوةُ الدُّنۡيَاۤ اِلَّا مَتَاعُ الۡغُرُوۡرِ‏(آل عمران :185)

كُلُّ
Every
نَفْسٍ
soul
ذَآئِقَةُ
(will) taste
ٱلْمَوْتِۗ
[the] death
وَإِنَّمَا
and only
تُوَفَّوْنَ
you will be paid in full
أُجُورَكُمْ
your reward
يَوْمَ
(on the) Day
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِۖ
(of) [the] Resurrection
فَمَن
Then whoever
زُحْزِحَ
is drawn away
عَنِ
from
ٱلنَّارِ
the Fire
وَأُدْخِلَ
and admitted
ٱلْجَنَّةَ
(to) Paradise
فَقَدْ
then surely
فَازَۗ
he is successful
وَمَا
And not
ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ
(is) the life
ٱلدُّنْيَآ
(of) the world
إِلَّا
except
مَتَٰعُ
enjoyment
ٱلْغُرُورِ
(of) delusion

Kullu nafsin thaiqatu almawti wainnama tuwaffawna ojoorakum yawma alqiyamati faman zuhziha 'ani alnnari waodkhila aljannata faqad faza wama alhayatu alddunya illa mata'u alghuroori

Sahih International:

Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion.

Surah [3] Ali Imran : 193

رَبَّنَاۤ اِنَّنَا سَمِعۡنَا مُنَادِيًا يُّنَادِىۡ لِلۡاِيۡمَانِ اَنۡ اٰمِنُوۡا بِرَبِّكُمۡ فَاٰمَنَّا  ۖرَبَّنَا فَاغۡفِرۡ لَنَا ذُنُوۡبَنَا وَكَفِّرۡ عَنَّا سَيِّاٰتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الۡاَبۡرَارِ‌ۚ(آل عمران :193)

رَّبَّنَآ
Our Lord
إِنَّنَا
indeed we
سَمِعْنَا
[we] heard
مُنَادِيًا
a caller
يُنَادِى
calling
لِلْإِيمَٰنِ
to the faith
أَنْ
that
ءَامِنُوا۟
"Believe
بِرَبِّكُمْ
in your Lord"
فَـَٔامَنَّاۚ
so we have believed
رَبَّنَا
Our Lord
فَٱغْفِرْ
so forgive
لَنَا
for us
ذُنُوبَنَا
our sins
وَكَفِّرْ
and remove
عَنَّا
from us
سَيِّـَٔاتِنَا
our evil deeds
وَتَوَفَّنَا
and cause us to die
مَعَ
with
ٱلْأَبْرَارِ
the righteous

Rabbana innana sami'na munadiyan yunadee lileemani an aminoo birabbikum faamanna rabbana faighfir lana thunoobana wakaffir 'anna sayyiatina watawaffana ma'a alabrari

Sahih International:

Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller calling to faith, [saying], 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed. Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to die with the righteous.

Surah [3] Ali Imran : 195

فَاسۡتَجَابَ لَهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ اَنِّىۡ لَاۤ اُضِيۡعُ عَمَلَ عَامِلٍ مِّنۡكُمۡ مِّنۡ ذَكَرٍ اَوۡ اُنۡثٰى‌‌ۚ بَعۡضُكُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡضٍ‌‌ۚ فَالَّذِيۡنَ هَاجَرُوۡا وَاُخۡرِجُوۡا مِنۡ دِيَارِهِمۡ وَاُوۡذُوۡا فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِىۡ وَقٰتَلُوۡا وَقُتِلُوۡا لَاُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنۡهُمۡ سَيِّاٰتِهِمۡ وَلَاُدۡخِلَنَّهُمۡ جَنّٰتٍ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُ‌ۚ ثَوَابًا مِّنۡ عِنۡدِ اللّٰهِ ‌ؕ وَ اللّٰهُ عِنۡدَهٗ حُسۡنُ الثَّوَابِ(آل عمران :195)

فَٱسْتَجَابَ
Then responded
لَهُمْ
to them
رَبُّهُمْ
their Lord
أَنِّى
"Indeed I
لَآ
(will) not
أُضِيعُ
(let go) waste
عَمَلَ
deeds
عَٰمِلٍ
(of the) doer
مِّنكُم
among you
مِّن
[from]
ذَكَرٍ
(whether) male
أَوْ
or
أُنثَىٰۖ
female
بَعْضُكُم
each of you
مِّنۢ
from
بَعْضٍۖ
(the) other
فَٱلَّذِينَ
So those who
هَاجَرُوا۟
emigrated
وَأُخْرِجُوا۟
and were driven out
مِن
from
دِيَٰرِهِمْ
their homes
وَأُوذُوا۟
and were harmed
فِى
in
سَبِيلِى
My way
وَقَٰتَلُوا۟
and fought
وَقُتِلُوا۟
and were killed -
لَأُكَفِّرَنَّ
surely I (will) remove
عَنْهُمْ
from them
سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ
their evil deeds
وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ
and surely I will admit them
جَنَّٰتٍ
(to) Gardens
تَجْرِى
flowing
مِن
from
تَحْتِهَا
underneath them
ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ
the rivers -
ثَوَابًا
a reward
مِّنْ
from
عِندِ
[near]
ٱللَّهِۗ
Allah
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah -
عِندَهُۥ
with Him
حُسْنُ
(is the) best
ٱلثَّوَابِ
reward"

Faistajaba lahum rabbuhum annee la odee'u 'amala 'amilin minkum min thakarin aw ontha ba'dukum min ba'din faallatheena hajaroo waokhrijoo min diyarihim waoothoo fee sabeelee waqataloo waqutiloo laokaffiranna 'anhum sayyiatihim walaodkhilannahum jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu thawaban min 'indi Allahi waAllahu 'indahu husnu alththawabi

Sahih International:

And their Lord responded to them, "Never will I allow to be lost the work of [any] worker among you, whether male or female; you are of one another. So those who emigrated or were evicted from their homes or were harmed in My cause or fought or were killed - I will surely remove from them their misdeeds, and I will surely admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow as reward from Allah, and Allah has with Him the best reward."

Surah [4] An-Nisa' : 100

وَمَنۡ يُّهَاجِرۡ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ يَجِدۡ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ مُرٰغَمًا كَثِيۡرًا وَّسَعَةً‌ ؕ وَمَنۡ يَّخۡرُجۡ مِنۡۢ بَيۡتِهٖ مُهَاجِرًا اِلَى اللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖ ثُمَّ يُدۡرِكۡهُ الۡمَوۡتُ فَقَدۡ وَقَعَ اَجۡرُهٗ عَلَى اللّٰهِ‌ ؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ غَفُوۡرًا رَّحِيۡمًا(النساء :100)

وَمَن
And whoever
يُهَاجِرْ
emigrates
فِى
in
سَبِيلِ
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
يَجِدْ
will find
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth
مُرَٰغَمًا
place(s) of refuge
كَثِيرًا
many
وَسَعَةًۚ
and abundance
وَمَن
And whoever
يَخْرُجْ
leaves
مِنۢ
from
بَيْتِهِۦ
his home
مُهَاجِرًا
(as) an emigrant
إِلَى
to
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
وَرَسُولِهِۦ
and His Messenger
ثُمَّ
then
يُدْرِكْهُ
overtakes him
ٱلْمَوْتُ
[the] death
فَقَدْ
then certainly
وَقَعَ
(became) incumbent
أَجْرُهُۥ
his reward
عَلَى
on
ٱللَّهِۗ
Allah
وَكَانَ
And is
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
غَفُورًا
Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمًا
Most Merciful

Waman yuhajir fee sabeeli Allahi yajid fee alardi muraghaman katheeran wasa'atan waman yakhruj min baytihi muhajiran ila Allahi warasoolihi thumma yudrikhu almawtu faqad waqa'a ajruhu 'ala Allahi wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman

Sahih International:

And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many [alternative] locations and abundance. And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him - his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah . And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.

Surah [4] An-Nisa' : 78

اَيۡنَ مَا تَكُوۡنُوۡا يُدۡرِكْكُّمُ الۡمَوۡتُ وَلَوۡ كُنۡتُمۡ فِىۡ بُرُوۡجٍ مُّشَيَّدَةٍ‌ ؕ وَاِنۡ تُصِبۡهُمۡ حَسَنَةٌ يَّقُوۡلُوۡا هٰذِهٖ مِنۡ عِنۡدِ اللّٰهِ‌ ۚ وَاِنۡ تُصِبۡهُمۡ سَيِّئَةٌ يَّقُوۡلُوۡا هٰذِهٖ مِنۡ عِنۡدِكَ‌ ؕ قُلۡ كُلٌّ مِّنۡ عِنۡدِ اللّٰهِ‌ ؕ فَمَالِ ھٰٓؤُلَۤاءِ الۡقَوۡمِ لَا يَكَادُوۡنَ يَفۡقَهُوۡنَ حَدِيۡثًا(النساء :78)

أَيْنَمَا
Wherever
تَكُونُوا۟
you be
يُدْرِككُّمُ
will overtake you
ٱلْمَوْتُ
[the] death
وَلَوْ
even if
كُنتُمْ
you are
فِى
in
بُرُوجٍ
towers
مُّشَيَّدَةٍۗ
lofty
وَإِن
And if
تُصِبْهُمْ
befalls them
حَسَنَةٌ
any good
يَقُولُوا۟
they say
هَٰذِهِۦ
"This
مِنْ
(is)
عِندِ
from
ٱللَّهِۖ
Allah"
وَإِن
And if
تُصِبْهُمْ
befalls them
سَيِّئَةٌ
any evil
يَقُولُوا۟
they say
هَٰذِهِۦ
"This
مِنْ
(is) from
عِندِكَۚ
you"
قُلْ
Say
كُلٌّ
"All
مِّنْ
(is)"
عِندِ
from"
ٱللَّهِۖ
Allah"
فَمَالِ
So what (is wrong)
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
(with) these
ٱلْقَوْمِ
[the] people
لَا
not
يَكَادُونَ
do they seem
يَفْقَهُونَ
(to) understand
حَدِيثًا
any statement

Aynama takoonoo yudrikkumu almawtu walaw kuntum fee buroojin mushayyadatin wain tusibhum hasanatun yaqooloo hathihi min 'indi Allahi wain tusibhum sayyiatun yaqooloo hathihi min 'indika qul kullun min 'indi Allahi famali haolai alqawmi la yakadoona yafqahoona hadeethan

Sahih International:

Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you should be within towers of lofty construction. But if good comes to them, they say, "This is from Allah "; and if evil befalls them, they say, "This is from you." Say, "All [things] are from Allah ." So what is [the matter] with those people that they can hardly understand any statement?

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [6] Al-An'am : 131

ذٰ لِكَ اَنۡ لَّمۡ يَكُنۡ رَّبُّكَ مُهۡلِكَ الۡقُرٰى بِظُلۡمٍ وَّاَهۡلُهَا غٰفِلُوۡنَ(الأنعام :131)

ذَٰلِكَ
That (is because)
أَن
[that]
لَّمْ
not
يَكُن
is
رَّبُّكَ
your Lord
مُهْلِكَ
one who destroys
ٱلْقُرَىٰ
the cities
بِظُلْمٍ
for their wrongdoing
وَأَهْلُهَا
while their people
غَٰفِلُونَ
(are) unaware

Thalika an lam yakun rabbuka muhlika alqura bithulmin waahluha ghafiloona

Sahih International:

That is because your Lord would not destroy the cities for wrongdoing while their people were unaware.

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [9] At-Tawba : 115

وَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ لِيُـضِلَّ قَوۡمًۢا بَعۡدَ اِذۡ هَدٰٮهُمۡ حَتّٰى يُبَيِّنَ لَهُمۡ مَّا يَتَّقُوۡنَ‌ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ عَلِيۡمٌ(التوبة :115)

وَمَا
And not
كَانَ
is
ٱللَّهُ
(for) Allah
لِيُضِلَّ
that He lets go astray
قَوْمًۢا
a people
بَعْدَ
after
إِذْ
[when]
هَدَىٰهُمْ
He has guided them
حَتَّىٰ
until
يُبَيِّنَ
He makes clear
لَهُم
to them
مَّا
what
يَتَّقُونَۚ
they should fear
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
بِكُلِّ
(of) every
شَىْءٍ
thing
عَلِيمٌ
(is) All-Knower

Wama kana Allahu liyudilla qawman ba'da ith hadahum hatta yubayyina lahum ma yattaqoona inna Allaha bikulli shayin 'aleemun

Sahih International:

And Allah would not let a people stray after He has guided them until He makes clear to them what they should avoid. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of all things.

Surah [10] Yunus : 47

وَلِكُلِّ اُمَّةٍ رَّسُوۡلٌ‌ ۚ فَاِذَا جَآءَ رَسُوۡلُهُمۡ قُضِىَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ بِالۡقِسۡطِ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُوۡنَ(يونس :47)

وَلِكُلِّ
And for every
أُمَّةٍ
nation
رَّسُولٌۖ
(is) a Messenger
فَإِذَا
So when
جَآءَ
comes
رَسُولُهُمْ
their Messenger
قُضِىَ
it will be judged
بَيْنَهُم
between them
بِٱلْقِسْطِ
in justice
وَهُمْ
and they
لَا
(will) not
يُظْلَمُونَ
be wronged

Walikulli ommatin rasoolun faitha jaa rasooluhum qudiya baynahum bialqisti wahum la yuthlamoona

Sahih International:

And for every nation is a messenger. So when their messenger comes, it will be judged between them in justice, and they will not be wronged
