وَدَّ کَثِيۡرٌ مِّنۡ اَهۡلِ الۡكِتٰبِ لَوۡ يَرُدُّوۡنَكُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِ اِيۡمَانِكُمۡ كُفَّارًا ۖۚ حَسَدًا مِّنۡ عِنۡدِ اَنۡفُسِهِمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الۡحَـقُّ ۚ فَاعۡفُوۡا وَاصۡفَحُوۡا حَتّٰى يَاۡتِىَ اللّٰهُ بِاَمۡرِهٖ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى کُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدِيۡرٌ(البقرة :109)
Wadda katheerun min ahli alkitabi law yaruddoonakum min ba'di eemanikum kuffaran hasadan min 'indi anfusihim min ba'di ma tabayyana lahumu alhaqqu fao'foo waisfahoo hatta yatiya Allahu biamrihi inna Allaha 'ala kulli shayin qadeerun
Sahih International:
Many of the People of the Scripture wish they could turn you back to disbelief after you have believed, out of envy from themselves [even] after the truth has become clear to them. So pardon and overlook until Allah delivers His command. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.
كُنۡتُمۡ خَيۡرَ اُمَّةٍ اُخۡرِجَتۡ لِلنَّاسِ تَاۡمُرُوۡنَ بِالۡمَعۡرُوۡفِ وَتَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ الۡمُنۡكَرِ وَتُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِاللّٰهِؕ وَلَوۡ اٰمَنَ اَهۡلُ الۡكِتٰبِ لَڪَانَ خَيۡرًا لَّهُمۡؕ مِنۡهُمُ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ وَاَكۡثَرُهُمُ الۡفٰسِقُوۡنَ(آل عمران :110)
Kuntum khayra ommatin okhrijat lilnnasi tamuroona bialma'roofi watanhawna 'ani almunkari watuminoona biAllahi walaw amana ahlu alkitabi lakana khayran lahum minhumu almuminoona waaktharuhumu alfasiqoona
Sahih International:
You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah . If only the People of the Scripture had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are defiantly disobedient.
لَـيۡسُوۡا سَوَآءً ؕ مِنۡ اَهۡلِ الۡكِتٰبِ اُمَّةٌ قَآٮِٕمَةٌ يَّتۡلُوۡنَ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ اٰنَآءَ الَّيۡلِ وَ هُمۡ يَسۡجُدُوۡنَ(آل عمران :113)
Laysoo sawaan min ahli alkitabi ommatun qaimatun yatloona ayati Allahi anaa allayli wahum yasjudoona
Sahih International:
They are not [all] the same; among the People of the Scripture is a community standing [in obedience], reciting the verses of Allah during periods of the night and prostrating [in prayer].
وَاِنَّ مِنۡ اَهۡلِ الۡكِتٰبِ لَمَنۡ يُّؤۡمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ وَمَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَيۡكُمۡ وَمَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَيۡهِمۡ خٰشِعِيۡنَ لِلّٰهِ ۙ لَا يَشۡتَرُوۡنَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيۡلًا ؕ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ لَهُمۡ اَجۡرُهُمۡ عِنۡدَ رَبِّهِمۡؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَرِيۡعُ الۡحِسَابِ(آل عمران :199)
Wainna min ahli alkitabi laman yuminu biAllahi wama onzila ilaykum wama onzila ilayhim khashi'eena lillahi la yashtaroona biayati Allahi thamanan qaleelan olaika lahum ajruhum 'inda rabbihim inna Allaha saree'u alhisabi
Sahih International:
And indeed, among the People of the Scripture are those who believe in Allah and what was revealed to you and what was revealed to them, [being] humbly submissive to Allah . They do not exchange the verses of Allah for a small price. Those will have their reward with their Lord. Indeed, Allah is swift in account.
قُلۡ يٰۤـاَهۡلَ الۡكِتٰبِ تَعَالَوۡا اِلٰى كَلِمَةٍ سَوَآءٍۢ بَيۡنَـنَا وَبَيۡنَكُمۡ اَلَّا نَـعۡبُدَ اِلَّا اللّٰهَ وَلَا نُشۡرِكَ بِهٖ شَيۡـــًٔا وَّلَا يَتَّخِذَ بَعۡضُنَا بَعۡضًا اَرۡبَابًا مِّنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِؕ فَاِنۡ تَوَلَّوۡا فَقُوۡلُوا اشۡهَدُوۡا بِاَنَّا مُسۡلِمُوۡنَ(آل عمران :64)
Qul ya ahla alkitabi ta'alaw ila kalimatin sawain baynana wabaynakum alla na'buda illa Allaha wala nushrika bihi shayan wala yattakhitha ba'duna ba'dan arbaban min dooni Allahi fain tawallaw faqooloo ishhadoo bianna muslimoona
Sahih International:
Say, "O People of the Scripture, come to a word that is equitable between us and you - that we will not worship except Allah and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allah ." But if they turn away, then say, "Bear witness that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]."
يٰۤـاَهۡلَ الۡكِتٰبِ لِمَ تُحَآجُّوۡنَ فِىۡۤ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ وَمَاۤ اُنۡزِلَتِ التَّوۡرٰٮةُ وَالۡاِنۡجِيۡلُ اِلَّا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهٖؕ اَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ(آل عمران :65)
Ya ahla alkitabi lima tuhajjoona fee ibraheema wama onzilati alttawratu waalinjeelu illa min ba'dihi afala ta'qiloona
Sahih International:
O People of the Scripture, why do you argue about Abraham while the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until after him? Then will you not reason?
وَدَّتۡ طَّآٮِٕفَةٌ مِّنۡ اَهۡلِ الۡكِتٰبِ لَوۡ يُضِلُّوۡنَكُمؕۡ وَمَا يُضِلُّوۡنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡفُسَهُمۡ وَمَا يَشۡعُرُوۡنَ(آل عمران :69)
Waddat taifatun min ahli alkitabi law yudilloonakum wama yudilloona illa anfusahum wama yash'uroona
Sahih International:
A faction of the people of the Scripture wish they could mislead you. But they do not mislead except themselves, and they perceive [it] not.
يٰۤـاَهۡلَ الۡكِتٰبِ لِمَ تَكۡفُرُوۡنَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَاَنۡـتُمۡ تَشۡهَدُوۡنَ(آل عمران :70)
Ya ahla alkitabi lima takfuroona biayati Allahi waantum tashhadoona
Sahih International:
O People of the Scripture, why do you disbelieve in the verses of Allah while you witness [to their truth]?
يٰۤـاَهۡلَ الۡكِتٰبِ لِمَ تَلۡبِسُوۡنَ الۡحَـقَّ بِالۡبَاطِلِ وَتَكۡتُمُوۡنَ الۡحَـقَّ وَاَنۡـتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ(آل عمران :71)
Ya ahla alkitabi lima talbisoona alhaqqa bialbatili wataktumoona alhaqqa waantum ta'lamoona
Sahih International:
O People of the Scripture, why do you confuse the truth with falsehood and conceal the truth while you know [it]?
وَقَالَتۡ طَّآٮِٕفَةٌ مِّنۡ اَهۡلِ الۡكِتٰبِ اٰمِنُوۡا بِالَّذِىۡۤ اُنۡزِلَ عَلَى الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَجۡهَ النَّهَارِ وَاكۡفُرُوۡۤا اٰخِرَهٗ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡجِعُوۡنَۚ (آل عمران :72)
Waqalat taifatun min ahli alkitabi aminoo biallathee onzila 'ala allatheena amanoo wajha alnnahari waokfuroo akhirahu la'allahum yarji'oona
Sahih International:
And a faction of the People of the Scripture say [to each other], "Believe in that which was revealed to the believers at the beginning of the day and reject it at its end that perhaps they will abandon their religion,
