يُسَبِّحُ
Glorifies
لِلَّهِ
Allah
مَا
whatever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
وَمَا
and whatever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth,
ٱلْمَلِكِ
the Sovereign,
ٱلْقُدُّوسِ
the Holy,
ٱلْعَزِيزِ
the All-Mighty,
ٱلْحَكِيمِ
the All-Wise.

Yusabbihu lilaahi maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ardil Malikil Quddoosil 'Azeezil Hakeem

Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is exalting Allah, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

Tafsir

هُوَ
He
ٱلَّذِى
(is) the One Who
بَعَثَ
sent
فِى
among
ٱلْأُمِّيِّۦنَ
the unlettered
رَسُولًا
a Messenger
مِّنْهُمْ
from themselves
يَتْلُوا۟
reciting
عَلَيْهِمْ
to them
ءَايَٰتِهِۦ
His Verses,
وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ
and purifying them
وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ
and teaching them
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
the Book
وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ
and the wisdom
وَإِن
although
كَانُوا۟
they were
مِن
from
قَبْلُ
before
لَفِى
surely in
ضَلَٰلٍ
an error
مُّبِينٍ
clear.

Huwal lazee ba'asa fil ummiyyeena Rasoolam min hum yatloo 'alaihim aayaatihee wa yuzakkeehim wa yu'allimuhumul Kitaaba wal Hikmata wa in kaano min qablu lafee dalaalim mubeen

It is He who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom - although they were before in clear error -

Tafsir

وَءَاخَرِينَ
And others
مِنْهُمْ
among them
لَمَّا
who have not yet
يَلْحَقُوا۟
joined
بِهِمْۚ
them;
وَهُوَ
and He
ٱلْعَزِيزُ
(is) the All-Mighty,
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
the All-Wise.

Wa aakhareena minhum lammaa yalhaqoo bihim wa huwal 'azeezul hakeem

And [to] others of them who have not yet joined them. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

Tafsir

ذَٰلِكَ
That
فَضْلُ
(is the) Bounty,
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah,
يُؤْتِيهِ
He gives it
مَن
(to) whom
يَشَآءُۚ
He wills.
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
ذُو
(is the) Possessor
ٱلْفَضْلِ
(of) Bounty
ٱلْعَظِيمِ
the Great.

Zaalika fadlul laahi yu'teehi many-yashaaa; wallaahu zul fadil 'azeem

That is the bounty of Allah, which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.

Tafsir

مَثَلُ
(The) likeness
ٱلَّذِينَ
(of) those who
حُمِّلُوا۟
were entrusted
ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ
(with) the Taurat
ثُمَّ
then
لَمْ
not
يَحْمِلُوهَا
they bore it,
كَمَثَلِ
(is) like
ٱلْحِمَارِ
the donkey
يَحْمِلُ
who carries
أَسْفَارًۢاۚ
books.
بِئْسَ
Wretched is
مَثَلُ
(The) likeness
ٱلْقَوْمِ
(of) the people
ٱلَّذِينَ
(of) those who
كَذَّبُوا۟
deny
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
(the) Signs
ٱللَّهِۚ
(of) Allah.
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
لَا
(does) not
يَهْدِى
guide
ٱلْقَوْمَ
the people,
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
the wrongdoers.

Masalul lazeena hum milut tawraata summa lam yahmiloonhaa kamasalil himaari yah milu asfaaraa; bi'sa masalul qawmil lazeena kaazzaboo bi aayaatil laah; wallaahu laa yahdil qawmazzaalimeen

The example of those who were entrusted with the Torah and then did not take it on is like that of a donkey who carries volumes [of books]. Wretched is the example of the people who deny the signs of Allah. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

Tafsir

قُلْ
Say,
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
"O!
ٱلَّذِينَ
"you (who)!
هَادُوٓا۟
"(are) Jews!
إِن
If
زَعَمْتُمْ
you claim
أَنَّكُمْ
that you
أَوْلِيَآءُ
(are) allies
لِلَّهِ
of Allah.
مِن
from
دُونِ
excluding
ٱلنَّاسِ
the people,
فَتَمَنَّوُا۟
then wish
ٱلْمَوْتَ
(for) the death,
إِن
If
كُنتُمْ
you are
صَٰدِقِينَ
truthful."

Qul yaaa ayyuhal lazeena haadoo in za'amtum annakum awliyaaa'u lilaahi min doonin naasi fatamannawul mawta in kuntum saadiqeen

Say, "O you who are Jews, if you claim that you are allies of Allah, excluding the [other] people, then wish for death, if you should be truthful."

Tafsir

وَلَا
But not
يَتَمَنَّوْنَهُۥٓ
they will wish for it,
أَبَدًۢا
ever,
بِمَا
for what
قَدَّمَتْ
(have) sent forth
أَيْدِيهِمْۚ
their hands.
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
عَلِيمٌۢ
(is) All-Knowing
بِٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
of the wrongdoers.

Wa laa yatamannaw nahooo abadam bimaa qaddamat aydeehim; wallaahu 'aleemum bix zaalimeen

But they will not wish for it, ever, because of what their hands have put forth. And Allah is Knowing of the wrongdoers.

Tafsir

قُلْ
Say,
إِنَّ
"Indeed,
ٱلْمَوْتَ
the death
ٱلَّذِى
which
تَفِرُّونَ
you flee
مِنْهُ
from it,
فَإِنَّهُۥ
then surely it
مُلَٰقِيكُمْۖ
(will) meet you.
ثُمَّ
Then
تُرَدُّونَ
you will be sent back
إِلَىٰ
to
عَٰلِمِ
(the) All-Knower
ٱلْغَيْبِ
(of) the unseen
وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ
and the witnessed,
فَيُنَبِّئُكُم
and He will inform you
بِمَا
[of] what
كُنتُمْ
you used to
تَعْمَلُونَ
do."

Qul innal mawtal lazee tafirroona minhu fa innahoo mulaaqeekum summa turaddoona ilaa 'Aalimil Ghaibi wash shahaadati fa yunabbi'ukum bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

Say, "Indeed, the death from which you flee - indeed, it will meet you. Then you will be returned to the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, and He will inform you about what you used to do."

Tafsir

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O!
ٱلَّذِينَ
(you) who!
ءَامَنُوٓا۟
believe!
إِذَا
When
نُودِىَ
(the) call is made
لِلصَّلَوٰةِ
for (the) prayer
مِن
on
يَوْمِ
(the) day
ٱلْجُمُعَةِ
(of) Friday,
فَٱسْعَوْا۟
then hasten
إِلَىٰ
to
ذِكْرِ
(the) remembrance
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
وَذَرُوا۟
and leave
ٱلْبَيْعَۚ
the business.
ذَٰلِكُمْ
That
خَيْرٌ
(is) better
لَّكُمْ
for you,
إِن
if
كُنتُمْ
you
تَعْلَمُونَ
know.

Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanoo izaa noodiya lis-Salaati miny yawmil Jumu'ati fas'aw ilaa zikril laahi wa zarul bai'; zaalikum khayrul lakum in kuntum ta'lamoon

O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu'ah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew.

Tafsir

فَإِذَا
Then when
قُضِيَتِ
is concluded
ٱلصَّلَوٰةُ
the prayer,
فَٱنتَشِرُوا۟
then disperse
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the land
وَٱبْتَغُوا۟
and seek
مِن
from
فَضْلِ
(the) Bounty,
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah,
وَٱذْكُرُوا۟
and remember
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
كَثِيرًا
much
لَّعَلَّكُمْ
so that you may
تُفْلِحُونَ
succeed.

Fa-izaa qudiyatis Salaatu fantashiroo fil ardi wabtaghoo min fadlil laahi wazkurul laaha kaseeral la'allakum tuflihoon

And when the prayer has been concluded, disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of Allah, and remember Allah often that you may succeed.
