وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ ࣖ   ( الشعراء: ١٩١ )

wa-inna
وَإِنَّ
And indeed
rabbaka
رَبَّكَ
your Lord
lahuwa
لَهُوَ
surely He
l-ʿazīzu
ٱلْعَزِيزُ
(is) the All-Mighty
l-raḥīmu
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
the Most Merciful

And indeed, your Lord – He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

Tafsir

وَاِنَّهٗ لَتَنْزِيْلُ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ۗ   ( الشعراء: ١٩٢ )

wa-innahu
وَإِنَّهُۥ
And indeed it
latanzīlu
لَتَنزِيلُ
surely is a Revelation
rabbi
رَبِّ
(of the) Lord
l-ʿālamīna
ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
(of) the worlds

And indeed, it [i.e., the Quran] is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds.

Tafsir

نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوْحُ الْاَمِيْنُ ۙ   ( الشعراء: ١٩٣ )

nazala
نَزَلَ
Has brought it down
bihi
بِهِ
Has brought it down
l-rūḥu
ٱلرُّوحُ
the Spirit
l-amīnu
ٱلْأَمِينُ
[the] Trustworthy

The Trustworthy Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] has brought it down.

Tafsir

عَلٰى قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُنْذِرِيْنَ ۙ   ( الشعراء: ١٩٤ )

ʿalā
عَلَىٰ
Upon
qalbika
قَلْبِكَ
your heart
litakūna
لِتَكُونَ
that you may be
mina
مِنَ
of
l-mundhirīna
ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ
the warners

Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] – that you may be of the warners.

Tafsir

بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ مُّبِيْنٍ ۗ   ( الشعراء: ١٩٥ )

bilisānin
بِلِسَانٍ
In language
ʿarabiyyin
عَرَبِىٍّ
Arabic
mubīnin
مُّبِينٍ
clear

In a clear Arabic language.

Tafsir

وَاِنَّهٗ لَفِيْ زُبُرِ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ   ( الشعراء: ١٩٦ )

wa-innahu
وَإِنَّهُۥ
And indeed it
lafī
لَفِى
surely (is) in
zuburi
زُبُرِ
(the) Scriptures
l-awalīna
ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
(of) the former (people)

And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples.

Tafsir

اَوَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَّهُمْ اٰيَةً اَنْ يَّعْلَمَهٗ عُلَمٰۤؤُا بَنِيْٓ اِسْرَاۤءِيْلَ   ( الشعراء: ١٩٧ )

أَوَلَمْ
Is it not
yakun
يَكُن
Is it not
lahum
لَّهُمْ
to them
āyatan
ءَايَةً
a sign
an
أَن
that
yaʿlamahu
يَعْلَمَهُۥ
know it
ʿulamāu
عُلَمَٰٓؤُا۟
(the) scholars
banī
بَنِىٓ
(of the) Children
is'rāīla
إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
(of) Israel?

And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel?

Tafsir

وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنٰهُ عَلٰى بَعْضِ الْاَعْجَمِيْنَ ۙ   ( الشعراء: ١٩٨ )

walaw
وَلَوْ
And if
nazzalnāhu
نَزَّلْنَٰهُ
We (had) revealed it
ʿalā
عَلَىٰ
to
baʿḍi
بَعْضِ
any
l-aʿjamīna
ٱلْأَعْجَمِينَ
(of) the non-Arabs

And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners.

Tafsir

فَقَرَاَهٗ عَلَيْهِمْ مَّا كَانُوْا بِهٖ مُؤْمِنِيْنَ ۗ   ( الشعراء: ١٩٩ )

faqara-ahu
فَقَرَأَهُۥ
And he (had) recited it
ʿalayhim
عَلَيْهِم
to them
مَّا
not
kānū
كَانُوا۟
they would
bihi
بِهِۦ
in it
mu'minīna
مُؤْمِنِينَ
(be) believers

And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it.

Tafsir

كَذٰلِكَ سَلَكْنٰهُ فِيْ قُلُوْبِ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَ ۗ   ( الشعراء: ٢٠٠ )

kadhālika
كَذَٰلِكَ
Thus
salaknāhu
سَلَكْنَٰهُ
We have inserted it
فِى
into
qulūbi
قُلُوبِ
(the) hearts
l-muj'rimīna
ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
(of) the criminals

Thus have We inserted it [i.e., disbelief] into the hearts of the criminals.
