Surah [5] Al-Ma'ida : 113

قَالُوۡا نُرِيۡدُ اَنۡ نَّاۡكُلَ مِنۡهَا وَتَطۡمَٮِٕنَّ قُلُوۡبُنَا وَنَـعۡلَمَ اَنۡ قَدۡ صَدَقۡتَـنَا وَنَكُوۡنَ عَلَيۡهَا مِنَ الشّٰهِدِيۡنَ‏(المائدة :113)

قَالُوا۟
They said
نُرِيدُ
"We wish
أَن
that
نَّأْكُلَ
we eat
مِنْهَا
from it
وَتَطْمَئِنَّ
and satisfy
قُلُوبُنَا
our hearts
وَنَعْلَمَ
and we know
أَن
that
قَدْ
certainly
صَدَقْتَنَا
you have spoken the truth to us
وَنَكُونَ
and we be
عَلَيْهَا
over it
مِنَ
among
ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ
the witnesses

Qaloo nureedu an nakula minha watatmainna quloobuna wana'lama an qad sadaqtana wanakoona 'alayha mina alshshahideena

Sahih International:

They said, "We wish to eat from it and let our hearts be reassured and know that you have been truthful to us and be among its witnesses."

Surah [6] Al-An'am : 121

وَلَا تَاۡكُلُوۡا مِمَّا لَمۡ يُذۡكَرِ اسۡمُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡهِ وَاِنَّهٗ لَفِسۡقٌ ؕ وَاِنَّ الشَّيٰطِيۡنَ لَيُوۡحُوۡنَ اِلٰٓى اَوۡلِيٰٓـٮِٕـهِمۡ لِيُجَادِلُوۡكُمۡ‌ ۚ وَاِنۡ اَطَعۡتُمُوۡهُمۡ اِنَّكُمۡ لَمُشۡرِكُوۡنَ(الأنعام :121)

وَلَا
And (do) not
تَأْكُلُوا۟
eat
مِمَّا
of that
لَمْ
not
يُذْكَرِ
has been mentioned
ٱسْمُ
(the) name
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
عَلَيْهِ
on it
وَإِنَّهُۥ
and indeed, it (is)
لَفِسْقٌۗ
grave disobedience
وَإِنَّ
And indeed
ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ
the devils
لَيُوحُونَ
inspire
إِلَىٰٓ
to
أَوْلِيَآئِهِمْ
their friends
لِيُجَٰدِلُوكُمْۖ
so that they dispute with you
وَإِنْ
and if
أَطَعْتُمُوهُمْ
you obey them
إِنَّكُمْ
indeed, you
لَمُشْرِكُونَ
(would) be the polytheists

Wala takuloo mimma lam yuthkari ismu Allahi 'alayhi wainnahu lafisqun wainna alshshayateena layoohoona ila awliyaihim liyujadilookum wain ata'tumoohum innakum lamushrikoona

Sahih International:

And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has not been mentioned, for indeed, it is grave disobedience. And indeed do the devils inspire their allies [among men] to dispute with you. And if you were to obey them, indeed, you would be associators [of others with Him].

Surah [12] Yusuf : 13

قَالَ اِنِّىۡ لَيَحۡزُنُنِىۡ اَنۡ تَذۡهَبُوۡا بِهٖ وَاَخَافُ اَنۡ يَّاۡكُلَهُ الذِّئۡبُ وَاَنۡـتُمۡ عَنۡهُ غٰفِلُوۡنَ‏(يوسف :13)

قَالَ
He said
إِنِّى
"Indeed, [I]
لَيَحْزُنُنِىٓ
it surely saddens me
أَن
that
تَذْهَبُوا۟
you should take him
بِهِۦ
you should take him
وَأَخَافُ
and I fear
أَن
that
يَأْكُلَهُ
would eat him
ٱلذِّئْبُ
a wolf
وَأَنتُمْ
while you
عَنْهُ
of him
غَٰفِلُونَ
(are) unaware"

Qala innee layahzununee an thathhaboo bihi waakhafu an yakulahu alththibu waantum 'anhu ghafiloona

Sahih International:

[Jacob] said, "Indeed, it saddens me that you should take him, and I fear that a wolf would eat him while you are of him unaware."

Surah [12] Yusuf : 36

وَدَخَلَ مَعَهُ السِّجۡنَ فَتَيٰنِ‌ؕ قَالَ اَحَدُهُمَاۤ اِنِّىۡۤ اَرٰٮنِىۡۤ اَعۡصِرُ خَمۡرًا‌ ۚ وَقَالَ الۡاٰخَرُ اِنِّىۡۤ اَرٰٮنِىۡۤ اَحۡمِلُ فَوۡقَ رَاۡسِىۡ خُبۡزًا تَاۡكُلُ الطَّيۡرُ مِنۡهُ‌ ؕ نَبِّئۡنَا بِتَاۡوِيۡلِهٖ ۚ اِنَّا نَرٰٮكَ مِنَ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ(يوسف :36)

وَدَخَلَ
And entered
مَعَهُ
with him
ٱلسِّجْنَ
(in) the prison
فَتَيَانِۖ
two young men
قَالَ
Said
أَحَدُهُمَآ
one of them
إِنِّىٓ
"Indeed I
أَرَىٰنِىٓ
[I] see myself
أَعْصِرُ
pressing
خَمْرًاۖ
wine"
وَقَالَ
And said
ٱلْءَاخَرُ
the other
إِنِّىٓ
"Indeed I
أَرَىٰنِىٓ
[I] see myself
أَحْمِلُ
[I am] carrying
فَوْقَ
over
رَأْسِى
my head
خُبْزًا
bread
تَأْكُلُ
(were) eating
ٱلطَّيْرُ
the birds
مِنْهُۖ
from it
نَبِّئْنَا
Inform us
بِتَأْوِيلِهِۦٓۖ
of its interpretation;
إِنَّا
indeed we
نَرَىٰكَ
[we] see you
مِنَ
of
ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
the good-doers"

Wadakhala ma'ahu alssijna fatayani qala ahaduhuma innee aranee a'siru khamran waqala alakharu innee aranee ahmilu fawqa rasee khubzan takulu alttayru minhu nabbina bitaweelihi inna naraka mina almuhsineena

Sahih International:

And there entered the prison with him two young men. One of them said, "Indeed, I have seen myself [in a dream] pressing wine." The other said, "Indeed, I have seen myself carrying upon my head [some] bread, from which the birds were eating. Inform us of its interpretation; indeed, we see you to be of those who do good."

Surah [12] Yusuf : 41

يٰصَاحِبَىِ السِّجۡنِ اَمَّاۤ اَحَدُكُمَا فَيَسۡقِىۡ رَبَّهٗ خَمۡرًا‌ۚ وَاَمَّا الۡاٰخَرُ فَيُصۡلَبُ فَتَاۡكُلُ الطَّيۡرُ مِنۡ رَّاۡسِهٖ‌ؕ قُضِىَ الۡاَمۡرُ الَّذِىۡ فِيۡهِ تَسۡتَفۡتِيٰنِؕ(يوسف :41)

يَٰصَىٰحِبَىِ
O my two companions
ٱلسِّجْنِ
(of) the prison!
أَمَّآ
As for
أَحَدُكُمَا
one of you
فَيَسْقِى
he will give drink
رَبَّهُۥ
(to) his master
خَمْرًاۖ
wine
وَأَمَّا
and as for
ٱلْءَاخَرُ
the other
فَيُصْلَبُ
he will be crucified
فَتَأْكُلُ
and will eat
ٱلطَّيْرُ
the birds
مِن
from
رَّأْسِهِۦۚ
his head
قُضِىَ
Has been decreed
ٱلْأَمْرُ
the matter
ٱلَّذِى
about which
فِيهِ
about which
تَسْتَفْتِيَانِ
you both inquire"

Ya sahibayi alssijni amma ahadukuma fayasqee rabbahu khamran waamma alakharu fayuslabu fatakulu alttayru min rasihi qudiya alamru allathee feehi tastaftiyani

Sahih International:

O two companions of prison, as for one of you, he will give drink to his master of wine; but as for the other, he will be crucified, and the birds will eat from his head. The matter has been decreed about which you both inquire."

Surah [16] An-Nahl : 14

وَهُوَ الَّذِىۡ سَخَّرَ الۡبَحۡرَ لِتَاۡكُلُوۡا مِنۡهُ لَحۡمًا طَرِيًّا وَّتَسۡتَخۡرِجُوۡا مِنۡهُ حِلۡيَةً تَلۡبَسُوۡنَهَا‌ۚ وَتَرَى الۡـفُلۡكَ مَوَاخِرَ فِيۡهِ وَلِتَبۡتَغُوۡا مِنۡ فَضۡلِهٖ وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُوۡنَ‏(النحل :14)

وَهُوَ
And He
ٱلَّذِى
(is) the One Who
سَخَّرَ
subjected
ٱلْبَحْرَ
the sea
لِتَأْكُلُوا۟
for you to eat
مِنْهُ
from it
لَحْمًا
meat
طَرِيًّا
fresh
وَتَسْتَخْرِجُوا۟
and that you bring forth
مِنْهُ
from it
حِلْيَةً
ornaments
تَلْبَسُونَهَا
(that) you wear them
وَتَرَى
And you see
ٱلْفُلْكَ
the ships
مَوَاخِرَ
ploughing
فِيهِ
through it
وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟
and that you may seek
مِن
of
فَضْلِهِۦ
His Bounty
وَلَعَلَّكُمْ
and that you may
تَشْكُرُونَ
(be) grateful

Wahuwa allathee sakhkhara albahra litakuloo minhu lahman tariyyan watastakhrijoo minhu hilyatan talbasoonaha watara alfulka mawakhira feehi walitabtaghoo min fadlihi wala'allakum tashkuroona

Sahih International:

And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful.

Surah [16] An-Nahl : 5

وَالۡاَنۡعَامَ خَلَقَهَا‌ ۚ لَـكُمۡ فِيۡهَا دِفۡ ٴٌ وَّمَنَافِعُ وَمِنۡهَا تَاۡكُلُوۡنَ(النحل :5)

وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمَ
And the cattle
خَلَقَهَاۗ
He created them
لَكُمْ
for you
فِيهَا
in them
دِفْءٌ
(is) warmth
وَمَنَٰفِعُ
and benefits
وَمِنْهَا
and from them
تَأْكُلُونَ
you eat

Waalan'ama khalaqaha lakum feeha difon wamanafi'u waminha takuloona

Sahih International:

And the grazing livestock He has created for you; in them is warmth and [numerous] benefits, and from them you eat.

Surah [25] Al-Furqan : 20

وَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَا قَبۡلَكَ مِنَ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ اِلَّاۤ اِنَّهُمۡ لَيَاۡكُلُوۡنَ الطَّعَامَ وَيَمۡشُوۡنَ فِى الۡاَسۡوَاقِ‌ ؕ وَجَعَلۡنَا بَعۡضَكُمۡ لِبَعۡضٍ فِتۡنَةً  ؕ اَتَصۡبِرُوۡنَ‌ۚ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيۡرًا(الفرقان :20)

وَمَآ
And not
أَرْسَلْنَا
We sent
قَبْلَكَ
before you
مِنَ
any
ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
Messengers
إِلَّآ
but
إِنَّهُمْ
indeed they
لَيَأْكُلُونَ
[surely] ate
ٱلطَّعَامَ
food
وَيَمْشُونَ
and walked
فِى
in
ٱلْأَسْوَاقِۗ
the markets
وَجَعَلْنَا
And We have made
بَعْضَكُمْ
some of you
لِبَعْضٍ
for others
فِتْنَةً
a trial
أَتَصْبِرُونَۗ
will you have patience?
وَكَانَ
And is
رَبُّكَ
your Lord
بَصِيرًا
All-Seer

Wama arsalna qablaka mina almursaleena illa innahum layakuloona altta'ama wayamshoona fee alaswaqi waja'alna ba'dakum liba'din fitnatan atasbiroona wakana rabbuka baseeran

Sahih International:

And We did not send before you, [O Muhammad], any of the messengers except that they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you [people] as trial for others - will you have patience? And ever is your Lord, Seeing.

Surah [25] Al-Furqan : 7

وَقَالُوۡا مَالِ هٰذَا الرَّسُوۡلِ يَاۡكُلُ الطَّعَامَ وَيَمۡشِىۡ فِى الۡاَسۡوَاقِ‌ ؕ لَوۡلَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَيۡهِ مَلَكٌ فَيَكُوۡنَ مَعَهٗ نَذِيۡرًا(الفرقان :7)

وَقَالُوا۟
And they say
مَالِ
"Why does
هَٰذَا
this
ٱلرَّسُولِ
Messenger
يَأْكُلُ
eat
ٱلطَّعَامَ
[the] food
وَيَمْشِى
and walk
فِى
in
ٱلْأَسْوَاقِۙ
the markets?
لَوْلَآ
Why not
أُنزِلَ
is sent down
إِلَيْهِ
to him
مَلَكٌ
an Angel
فَيَكُونَ
then he be
مَعَهُۥ
with him
نَذِيرًا
a warner?

Waqaloo mali hatha alrrasooli yakulu altta'ama wayamshee fee alaswaqi lawla onzila ilayhi malakun fayakoona ma'ahu natheeran

Sahih International:

And they say, "What is this messenger that eats food and walks in the markets? Why was there not sent down to him an angel so he would be with him a warner?

Surah [25] Al-Furqan : 8

اَوۡ يُلۡقٰٓى اِلَيۡهِ كَنۡزٌ اَوۡ تَكُوۡنُ لَهٗ جَنَّةٌ يَّاۡكُلُ مِنۡهَا‌ ؕ وَقَالَ الظّٰلِمُوۡنَ اِنۡ تَتَّبِعُوۡنَ اِلَّا رَجُلًا مَّسۡحُوۡرًا(الفرقان :8)

أَوْ
Or
يُلْقَىٰٓ
is delivered
إِلَيْهِ
to him
كَنزٌ
a treasure
أَوْ
or
تَكُونُ
is
لَهُۥ
for him
جَنَّةٌ
a garden
يَأْكُلُ
he may eat
مِنْهَاۚ
from it
وَقَالَ
And say
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
the wrongdoers
إِن
"Not
تَتَّبِعُونَ
you follow
إِلَّا
but
رَجُلًا
a man
مَّسْحُورًا
bewitched"

Aw yulqa ilayhi kanzun aw takoonu lahu jannatun yakulu minha waqala alththalimoona in tattabi'oona illa rajulan mashooran

Sahih International:

Or [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats?" And the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic."
