عٰلِيَهُمْ ثِيَابُ سُنْدُسٍ خُضْرٌ وَّاِسْتَبْرَقٌۖ وَّحُلُّوْٓا اَسَاوِرَ مِنْ فِضَّةٍۚ وَسَقٰىهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ شَرَابًا طَهُوْرًا   ( الانسان: ٢١ )

ʿāliyahum
عَٰلِيَهُمْ
Upon them
thiyābu
ثِيَابُ
(will be) garments
sundusin
سُندُسٍ
(of) fine silk
khuḍ'run
خُضْرٌ
green
wa-is'tabraqun
وَإِسْتَبْرَقٌۖ
and heavy brocade
waḥullū
وَحُلُّوٓا۟
And they will be adorned
asāwira
أَسَاوِرَ
(with) bracelets
min
مِن
of
fiḍḍatin
فِضَّةٍ
silver
wasaqāhum
وَسَقَىٰهُمْ
and will give them to drink
rabbuhum
رَبُّهُمْ
their Lord
sharāban
شَرَابًا
a drink
ṭahūran
طَهُورًا
pure

Upon them [i.e., the inhabitants] will be green garments of fine silk and brocade. And they will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a purifying drink.

Tafsir

اِنَّ هٰذَا كَانَ لَكُمْ جَزَاۤءً وَّكَانَ سَعْيُكُمْ مَّشْكُوْرًا ࣖ   ( الانسان: ٢٢ )

inna
إِنَّ
"Indeed
hādhā
هَٰذَا
this
kāna
كَانَ
is
lakum
لَكُمْ
for you
jazāan
جَزَآءً
a reward
wakāna
وَكَانَ
and has been
saʿyukum
سَعْيُكُم
your effort
mashkūran
مَّشْكُورًا
appreciated"

[And it will be said], "Indeed, this is for you a reward, and your effort has been appreciated."

Tafsir

اِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْاٰنَ تَنْزِيْلًاۚ  ( الانسان: ٢٣ )

innā
إِنَّا
Indeed We
naḥnu
نَحْنُ
[We]
nazzalnā
نَزَّلْنَا
[We] revealed
ʿalayka
عَلَيْكَ
to you
l-qur'āna
ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
the Quran
tanzīlan
تَنزِيلًا
progressively

Indeed, it is We who have sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Quran progressively.

Tafsir

فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعْ مِنْهُمْ اٰثِمًا اَوْ كَفُوْرًاۚ  ( الانسان: ٢٤ )

fa-iṣ'bir
فَٱصْبِرْ
So be patient
liḥuk'mi
لِحُكْمِ
for (the) Command
rabbika
رَبِّكَ
(of) your Lord
walā
وَلَا
and (do) not
tuṭiʿ
تُطِعْ
obey
min'hum
مِنْهُمْ
from them
āthiman
ءَاثِمًا
any sinner
aw
أَوْ
or
kafūran
كَفُورًا
disbeliever

So be patient for the decision of your Lord and do not obey from among them a sinner or ungrateful [disbeliever].

Tafsir

وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ بُكْرَةً وَّاَصِيْلًاۚ  ( الانسان: ٢٥ )

wa-udh'kuri
وَٱذْكُرِ
And remember
is'ma
ٱسْمَ
(the) name
rabbika
رَبِّكَ
(of) your Lord
buk'ratan
بُكْرَةً
morning
wa-aṣīlan
وَأَصِيلًا
and evening

And mention the name of your Lord [in prayer] morning and evening

Tafsir

وَمِنَ الَّيْلِ فَاسْجُدْ لَهٗ وَسَبِّحْهُ لَيْلًا طَوِيْلًا   ( الانسان: ٢٦ )

wamina
وَمِنَ
And of
al-layli
ٱلَّيْلِ
the night
fa-us'jud
فَٱسْجُدْ
prostrate
lahu
لَهُۥ
to Him
wasabbiḥ'hu
وَسَبِّحْهُ
and glorify Him
laylan
لَيْلًا
a night
ṭawīlan
طَوِيلًا
long

And during the night prostrate to Him and exalt [i.e., praise] Him a long [part of the] night.

Tafsir

اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ يُحِبُّوْنَ الْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُوْنَ وَرَاۤءَهُمْ يَوْمًا ثَقِيْلًا   ( الانسان: ٢٧ )

inna
إِنَّ
Indeed
hāulāi
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
these
yuḥibbūna
يُحِبُّونَ
love
l-ʿājilata
ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ
the immediate
wayadharūna
وَيَذَرُونَ
and leave
warāahum
وَرَآءَهُمْ
behind them
yawman
يَوْمًا
a Day
thaqīlan
ثَقِيلًا
grave

Indeed, these [disbelievers] love the immediate and leave behind them a grave Day.

Tafsir

نَحْنُ خَلَقْنٰهُمْ وَشَدَدْنَآ اَسْرَهُمْۚ وَاِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَآ اَمْثَالَهُمْ تَبْدِيْلًا   ( الانسان: ٢٨ )

naḥnu
نَّحْنُ
We
khalaqnāhum
خَلَقْنَٰهُمْ
created them
washadadnā
وَشَدَدْنَآ
and We strengthened
asrahum
أَسْرَهُمْۖ
their forms
wa-idhā
وَإِذَا
and when
shi'nā
شِئْنَا
We will
baddalnā
بَدَّلْنَآ
We can change
amthālahum
أَمْثَٰلَهُمْ
their likeness[es]
tabdīlan
تَبْدِيلًا
(with) a change

We have created them and strengthened their forms, and when We will, We can change their likenesses with [complete] alteration.

Tafsir

اِنَّ هٰذِهٖ تَذْكِرَةٌ ۚ فَمَنْ شَاۤءَ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰى رَبِّهٖ سَبِيْلًا   ( الانسان: ٢٩ )

inna
إِنَّ
Indeed
hādhihi
هَٰذِهِۦ
this
tadhkiratun
تَذْكِرَةٌۖ
(is) a reminder
faman
فَمَن
so whoever
shāa
شَآءَ
wills
ittakhadha
ٱتَّخَذَ
let him take
ilā
إِلَىٰ
to
rabbihi
رَبِّهِۦ
his Lord
sabīlan
سَبِيلًا
a way

Indeed, this is a reminder, so he who wills may take to his Lord a way.

Tafsir

وَمَا تَشَاۤءُوْنَ اِلَّآ اَنْ يَّشَاۤءَ اللّٰهُ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ عَلِيْمًا حَكِيْمًاۖ  ( الانسان: ٣٠ )

wamā
وَمَا
And not
tashāūna
تَشَآءُونَ
you will
illā
إِلَّآ
except
an
أَن
that
yashāa
يَشَآءَ
wills
l-lahu
ٱللَّهُۚ
Allah
inna
إِنَّ
Indeed
l-laha
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
kāna
كَانَ
is
ʿalīman
عَلِيمًا
All-Knower
ḥakīman
حَكِيمًا
All-Wise

And you do not will except that Allah wills. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.
