وَنُفِخَ
And will be blown
فِى
[in]
ٱلصُّورِ
the trumpet
فَإِذَا
and behold!
هُم
They
مِّنَ
from
ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ
the graves
إِلَىٰ
to
رَبِّهِمْ
their Lord
يَنسِلُونَ
[they] will hasten

Wa nufikha fis-soori faizaa hum minal ajdaasi ilaa Rabbihim yansiloon

And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten.

Tafsir

قَالُوا۟
They [will] say
يَٰوَيْلَنَا
"O woe to us!
مَنۢ
Who
بَعَثَنَا
has raised us
مِن
from
مَّرْقَدِنَاۗۜ
our sleeping place?"
هَٰذَا
"This (is)
مَا
what
وَعَدَ
(had) promised
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ
the Most Gracious
وَصَدَقَ
and told (the) truth
ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
the Messengers"

Qaaloo yaa wailanaa mam ba'asanaa mim marqadinaa; haaza maa wa'adar Rahmanu wa sadaqal mursaloon

They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?" [The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth."

Tafsir

إِن
Not
كَانَتْ
it will be
إِلَّا
but
صَيْحَةً
a shout
وَٰحِدَةً
single
فَإِذَا
so behold!
هُمْ
They
جَمِيعٌ
all
لَّدَيْنَا
before Us
مُحْضَرُونَ
(will be) brought

In kaanat illaa saihatanw waahidatan fa-izaa hum jamee'ul ladainaa muhdaroon

It will not be but one blast, and at once they are all brought present before Us.

Tafsir

فَٱلْيَوْمَ
So this Day
لَا
not
تُظْلَمُ
will be wronged
نَفْسٌ
a soul
شَيْـًٔا
(in) anything
وَلَا
and not
تُجْزَوْنَ
you will be recompensed
إِلَّا
except
مَا
(for) what
كُنتُمْ
you used (to)
تَعْمَلُونَ
do

Fal-Yawma laa tuzlamu nafsun shai'anw-wa laa tujzawna illaa maa kuntum ta'maloon

So today [i.e., the Day of Judgement] no soul will be wronged at all, and you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do.

Tafsir

إِنَّ
Indeed
أَصْحَٰبَ
(the) companions
ٱلْجَنَّةِ
(of) Paradise
ٱلْيَوْمَ
this Day
فِى
[in]
شُغُلٍ
will be occupied
فَٰكِهُونَ
(in) amusement

Inna Ashaabal jannatil Yawma fee shughulin faakihoon

Indeed the companions of Paradise, that Day, will be amused in [joyful] occupation –

Tafsir

هُمْ
They
وَأَزْوَٰجُهُمْ
and their spouses
فِى
in
ظِلَٰلٍ
shades
عَلَى
on
ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ
[the] couches
مُتَّكِـُٔونَ
reclining

Hum wa azwaajuhum fee zilaalin 'alal araaa'iki muttaki'oon

They and their spouses – in shade, reclining on adorned couches.

Tafsir

لَهُمْ
For them
فِيهَا
therein
فَٰكِهَةٌ
(are) fruits
وَلَهُم
and for them
مَّا
(is) whatever
يَدَّعُونَ
they call for

Lahum feehaa faakiha tunw-wa lahum maa yadda'oon

For them therein is fruit, and for them is whatever they request [or wish]

Tafsir

سَلَٰمٌ
"Peace"
قَوْلًا
A word
مِّن
from
رَّبٍّ
a Lord
رَّحِيمٍ
Most Merciful

Salaamun qawlam mir Rabbir Raheem

[And] "Peace," a word from a Merciful Lord.

Tafsir

وَٱمْتَٰزُوا۟
"But stand apart
ٱلْيَوْمَ
this Day
أَيُّهَا
O criminals!
ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
O criminals!

Wamtaazul Yawma ayyuhal mujrimoon

[Then He will say], "But stand apart today, you criminals.

Tafsir

أَلَمْ
Did not
أَعْهَدْ
I enjoin
إِلَيْكُمْ
upon you
يَٰبَنِىٓ
O Children of Adam!
ءَادَمَ
O Children of Adam!
أَن
That
لَّا
(do) not
تَعْبُدُوا۟
worship
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَۖ
the Shaitaan
إِنَّهُۥ
indeed, he
لَكُمْ
(is) for you
عَدُوٌّ
an enemy
مُّبِينٌ
clear

Alam a'had ilaikum yaa Baneee Aadama al-laa ta'budush Shaitaana innahoo lakum 'aduwwum mubeen

Did I not enjoin upon you, O children of Adam, that you not worship Satan – [for] indeed, he is to you a clear enemy –
