وَاِلٰى مَدۡيَنَ اَخَاهُمۡ شُعَيۡبًا ؕ قَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ اعۡبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَـكُمۡ مِّنۡ اِلٰهٍ غَيۡرُهٗ ؕ قَدۡ جَآءَتۡكُمۡ بَيِّنَةٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّكُمۡ فَاَوۡفُوا الۡكَيۡلَ وَالۡمِيۡزَانَ وَلَا تَبۡخَسُوا النَّاسَ اَشۡيَآءَهُمۡ وَلَا تُفۡسِدُوۡا فِى الۡاَرۡضِ بَعۡدَ اِصۡلَاحِهَا ؕ ذٰ لِكُمۡ خَيۡرٌ لَّـكُمۡ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ(الأعراف :85)
Waila madyana akhahum shu'ayban qala ya qawmi o'budoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu qad jaatkum bayyinatun min rabbikum faawfoo alkayla waalmeezana wala tabkhasoo alnnasa ashyaahum wala tufsidoo fee alardi ba'da islahiha thalikum khayrun lakum in kuntum mumineena
Sahih International:
And to [the people of] Madyan [We sent] their brother Shu'ayb. He said, "O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. There has come to you clear evidence from your Lord. So fulfill the measure and weight and do not deprive people of their due and cause not corruption upon the earth after its reformation. That is better for you, if you should be believers.
وَلَا تَقۡعُدُوۡا بِكُلِّ صِرَاطٍ تُوۡعِدُوۡنَ وَتَصُدُّوۡنَ عَنۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ مَنۡ اٰمَنَ بِهٖ وَتَبۡغُوۡنَهَا عِوَجًا ۚ وَاذۡكُرُوۡۤا اِذۡ كُنۡتُمۡ قَلِيۡلًا فَكَثَّرَكُمۡ ۖوَانْظُرُوۡا كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الۡمُفۡسِدِيۡنَ(الأعراف :86)
Wala taq'udoo bikulli siratin too'idoona watasuddoona 'an sabeeli Allahi man amana bihi watabghoonaha 'iwajan waothkuroo ith kuntum qaleelan fakaththarakum waonthuroo kayfa kana 'aqibatu almufsideena
Sahih International:
And do not sit on every path, threatening and averting from the way of Allah those who believe in Him, seeking to make it [seem] deviant. And remember when you were few and He increased you. And see how was the end of the corrupters.
وَاِنۡ كَانَ طَآٮِٕفَةٌ مِّنۡكُمۡ اٰمَنُوۡا بِالَّذِىۡۤ اُرۡسِلۡتُ بِهٖ وَطَآٮِٕفَةٌ لَّمۡ يُؤۡمِنُوۡا فَاصۡبِرُوۡا حَتّٰى يَحۡكُمَ اللّٰهُ بَيۡنَنَا ۚ وَهُوَ خَيۡرُ الۡحٰكِمِيۡنَ(الأعراف :87)
Wain kana taifatun minkum amanoo biallathee orsiltu bihi wataifatun lam yuminoo faisbiroo hatta yahkuma Allahu baynana wahuwa khayru alhakimeena
Sahih International:
And if there should be a group among you who has believed in that with which I have been sent and a group that has not believed, then be patient until Allah judges between us. And He is the best of judges."
قَالَ الۡمَلَاُ الَّذِيۡنَ اسۡتَكۡبَرُوۡا مِنۡ قَوۡمِهٖ لَـنُخۡرِجَنَّكَ يٰشُعَيۡبُ وَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا مَعَكَ مِنۡ قَرۡيَتِنَاۤ اَوۡ لَـتَعُوۡدُنَّ فِىۡ مِلَّتِنَا ؕ قَالَ اَوَلَوۡ كُنَّا كٰرِهِيْنَ (الأعراف :88)
Qala almalao allatheena istakbaroo min qawmihi lanukhrijannaka ya shu'aybu waallatheena amanoo ma'aka min qaryatina aw lata'oodunna fee millatina qala awalaw kunna kariheena
Sahih International:
Said the eminent ones who were arrogant among his people, "We will surely evict you, O Shu'ayb, and those who have believed with you from our city, or you must return to our religion." He said, "Even if we were unwilling?"
قَدِ افۡتَرَيۡنَا عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا اِنۡ عُدۡنَا فِىۡ مِلَّتِكُمۡ بَعۡدَ اِذۡ نَجّٰٮنَا اللّٰهُ مِنۡهَا ؕ وَمَا يَكُوۡنُ لَـنَاۤ اَنۡ نَّعُوۡدَ فِيۡهَاۤ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ يَّشَآءَ اللّٰهُ رَبُّنَا ؕ وَسِعَ رَبُّنَا كُلَّ شَىۡءٍ عِلۡمًاؕ عَلَى اللّٰهِ تَوَكَّلۡنَا ؕ رَبَّنَا افۡتَحۡ بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَ قَوۡمِنَا بِالۡحَـقِّ وَاَنۡتَ خَيۡرُ الۡفٰتِحِيۡنَ(الأعراف :89)
Qadi iftarayna 'ala Allahi kathiban in 'udna fee millatikum ba'da ith najjana Allahu minha wama yakoonu lana an na'ooda feeha illa an yashaa Allahu rabbuna wasi'a rabbuna kulla shayin 'ilman 'ala Allahi tawakkalna rabbana iftah baynana wabayna qawmina bialhaqqi waanta khayru alfatiheena
Sahih International:
We would have invented against Allah a lie if we returned to your religion after Allah had saved us from it. And it is not for us to return to it except that Allah, our Lord, should will. Our Lord has encompassed all things in knowledge. Upon Allah we have relied. Our Lord, decide between us and our people in truth, and You are the best of those who give decision."
وَقَالَ الۡمَلَاُ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا مِنۡ قَوۡمِهٖ لَٮِٕنِ اتَّبَعۡتُمۡ شُعَيۡبًا اِنَّكُمۡ اِذًا لَّخٰسِرُوۡنَ(الأعراف :90)
Waqala almalao allatheena kafaroo min qawmihi laini ittaba'tum shu'ayban innakum ithan lakhasiroona
Sahih International:
Said the eminent ones who disbelieved among his people, "If you should follow Shu'ayb, indeed, you would then be losers."
فَاَخَذَتۡهُمُ الرَّجۡفَةُ فَاَصۡبَحُوۡا فِىۡ دَارِهِمۡ جٰثِمِيۡنَ(الأعراف :91)
Faakhathathumu alrrajfatu faasbahoo fee darihim jathimeena
Sahih International:
So the earthquake seized them, and they became within their home [corpses] fallen prone.
الَّذِيۡنَ كَذَّبُوۡا شُعَيۡبًا كَاَنۡ لَّمۡ يَغۡنَوۡا فِيۡهَا ۛۚ اَ لَّذِيۡنَ كَذَّبُوۡا شُعَيۡبًا كَانُوۡا هُمُ الۡخٰسِرِيۡنَ(الأعراف :92)
Allatheena kaththaboo shu'ayban kaan lam yaghnaw feeha allatheena kaththaboo shu'ayban kanoo humu alkhasireena
Sahih International:
Those who denied Shu'ayb - it was as though they had never resided there. Those who denied Shu'ayb - it was they who were the losers.
فَتَوَلّٰى عَنۡهُمۡ وَقَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ لَقَدۡ اَبۡلَغۡتُكُمۡ رِسٰلٰتِ رَبِّىۡ وَنَصَحۡتُ لَـكُمۡۚ فَكَيۡفَ اٰسٰی عَلٰى قَوۡمٍ كٰفِرِيۡنَ(الأعراف :93)
Fatawalla 'anhum waqala ya qawmi laqad ablaghtukum risalati rabbee wanasahtu lakum fakayfa asa 'ala qawmin kafireena
Sahih International:
And he turned away from them and said, "O my people, I had certainly conveyed to you the messages of my Lord and advised you, so how could I grieve for a disbelieving people?"
وَاِلٰى مَدۡيَنَ اَخَاهُمۡ شُعَيۡبًا ؕ قَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ اعۡبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَـكُمۡ مِّنۡ اِلٰهٍ غَيۡرُهٗ ؕ وَلَا تَـنۡقُصُوا الۡمِكۡيَالَ وَالۡمِيۡزَانَ اِنِّىۡۤ اَرٰٮكُمۡ بِخَيۡرٍ وَّاِنِّىۡۤ اَخَافُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ مُّحِيۡطٍ(هود :84)
Waila madyana akhahum shu'ayban qala ya qawmi o'budoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu wala tanqusoo almikyala waalmeezana innee arakum bikhayrin wainnee akhafu 'alaykum 'athaba yawmin muheetin
Sahih International:
And to Madyan [We sent] their brother Shu'ayb. He said, "O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. And do not decrease from the measure and the scale. Indeed, I see you in prosperity, but indeed, I fear for you the punishment of an all-encompassing Day.
