Surah [2] Al-Baqara : 285

اٰمَنَ الرَّسُوۡلُ بِمَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَيۡهِ مِنۡ رَّبِّهٖ وَ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ‌ؕ كُلٌّ اٰمَنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَمَلٰٓٮِٕكَتِهٖ وَكُتُبِهٖ وَرُسُلِهٖ ۚ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيۡنَ اَحَدٍ مِّنۡ رُّسُلِهٖ‌ ۚ وَقَالُوۡا سَمِعۡنَا وَاَطَعۡنَا‌ ۖ غُفۡرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَاِلَيۡكَ الۡمَصِيۡرُ(البقرة :285)

ءَامَنَ
Believed
ٱلرَّسُولُ
the Messenger
بِمَآ
in what
أُنزِلَ
was revealed
إِلَيْهِ
to him
مِن
from
رَّبِّهِۦ
his Lord
وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَۚ
and the believers
كُلٌّ
All
ءَامَنَ
believed
بِٱللَّهِ
in Allah
وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ
and His Angels
وَكُتُبِهِۦ
and His Books
وَرُسُلِهِۦ
and His Messengers
لَا
"Not
نُفَرِّقُ
we make distinction
بَيْنَ
between
أَحَدٍ
any
مِّن
of
رُّسُلِهِۦۚ
His Messengers
وَقَالُوا۟
And they said
سَمِعْنَا
"We heard
وَأَطَعْنَاۖ
and we obeyed
غُفْرَانَكَ
(Grant) us Your forgiveness
رَبَّنَا
our Lord
وَإِلَيْكَ
and to You
ٱلْمَصِيرُ
(is) the return"

Amana alrrasoolu bima onzila ilayhi min rabbihi waalmuminoona kullun amana biAllahi wamalaikatihi wakutubihi warusulihi la nufarriqu bayna ahadin min rusulihi waqaloo sami'na waata'na ghufranaka rabbana wailayka almaseeru

Sahih International:

The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination."

Surah [2] Al-Baqara : 30

وَاِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةِ اِنِّىۡ جَاعِلٌ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ خَلِيۡفَةً ؕ قَالُوۡٓا اَتَجۡعَلُ فِيۡهَا مَنۡ يُّفۡسِدُ فِيۡهَا وَيَسۡفِكُ الدِّمَآءَۚ وَنَحۡنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمۡدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَـكَ‌ؕ قَالَ اِنِّىۡٓ اَعۡلَمُ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ(البقرة :30)

وَإِذْ
And when
قَالَ
said
رَبُّكَ
your Lord
لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
to the angels
إِنِّى
"Indeed, I (am)
جَاعِلٌ
going to place
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth
خَلِيفَةًۖ
a vicegerent
قَالُوٓا۟
they said
أَتَجْعَلُ
"Will You place
فِيهَا
in it
مَن
(one) who
يُفْسِدُ
will spread corruption
فِيهَا
in it
وَيَسْفِكُ
and will shed
ٱلدِّمَآءَ
[the] blood[s]
وَنَحْنُ
while we
نُسَبِّحُ
[we] glorify (You)
بِحَمْدِكَ
with Your praises
وَنُقَدِّسُ
and we sanctify
لَكَۖ
[to] You
قَالَ
He said
إِنِّىٓ
"Indeed, I
أَعْلَمُ
[I] know
مَا
what
لَا
(do) not
تَعْلَمُونَ
you know"

Waith qala rabbuka lilmalaikati innee ja'ilun fee alardi khaleefatan qaloo ataj'alu feeha man yufsidu feeha wayasfiku alddimaa wanahnu nusabbihu bihamdika wanuqaddisu laka qala innee a'lamu ma la ta'lamoona

Sahih International:

And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."

Surah [2] Al-Baqara : 31

وَعَلَّمَ اٰدَمَ الۡاَسۡمَآءَ كُلَّهَا ثُمَّ عَرَضَهُمۡ عَلَى الۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةِ فَقَالَ اَنۡۢبِــُٔوۡنِىۡ بِاَسۡمَآءِ هٰٓؤُلَآءِ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ صٰدِقِيۡنَ‏(البقرة :31)

وَعَلَّمَ
And He taught
ءَادَمَ
Adam
ٱلْأَسْمَآءَ
the names
كُلَّهَا
all of them
ثُمَّ
Then
عَرَضَهُمْ
He displayed them
عَلَى
to
ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
the angels
فَقَالَ
then He said
أَنۢبِـُٔونِى
"Inform Me
بِأَسْمَآءِ
of (the) names
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
(of) these
إِن
if
كُنتُمْ
you are
صَٰدِقِينَ
truthful"

Wa'allama adama alasmaa kullaha thumma 'aradahum 'ala almalaikati faqala anbioonee biasmai haolai in kuntum sadiqeena

Sahih International:

And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, "Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful."

Surah [2] Al-Baqara : 32

قَالُوۡا سُبۡحٰنَكَ لَا عِلۡمَ لَنَآ اِلَّا مَا عَلَّمۡتَنَا ؕ اِنَّكَ اَنۡتَ الۡعَلِيۡمُ الۡحَكِيۡمُ(البقرة :32)

قَالُوا۟
They said
سُبْحَٰنَكَ
"Glory be to You!
لَا
No
عِلْمَ
knowledge
لَنَآ
(is) for us
إِلَّا
except
مَا
what
عَلَّمْتَنَآۖ
You have taught us
إِنَّكَ
Indeed You!
أَنتَ
You
ٱلْعَلِيمُ
(are) the All-Knowing
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
the All-Wise

Qaloo subhanaka la 'ilma lana illa ma 'allamtana innaka anta al'aleemu alhakeemu

Sahih International:

They said, "Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, the Wise."

Surah [2] Al-Baqara : 33

قَالَ يٰٓـاٰدَمُ اَنۡۢبِئۡهُمۡ بِاَسۡمَآٮِٕهِمۡ‌ۚ فَلَمَّآ اَنۡۢبَاَهُمۡ بِاَسۡمَآٮِٕهِمۡۙ قَالَ اَلَمۡ اَقُل لَّـكُمۡ اِنِّىۡٓ اَعۡلَمُ غَيۡبَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِۙ وَاَعۡلَمُ مَا تُبۡدُوۡنَ وَمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَكۡتُمُوۡنَ(البقرة :33)

قَالَ
He said
يَٰٓـَٔادَمُ
"O Adam!
أَنۢبِئْهُم
Inform them
بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْۖ
of their names"
فَلَمَّآ
And when
أَنۢبَأَهُم
he had informed them
بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْ
of their names
قَالَ
He said
أَلَمْ
"Did not
أَقُل
I say
لَّكُمْ
to you
إِنِّىٓ
Indeed, I
أَعْلَمُ
[I] know
غَيْبَ
(the) unseen
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
(of) the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the earth
وَأَعْلَمُ
and I know
مَا
what
تُبْدُونَ
you reveal
وَمَا
and what
كُنتُمْ
you [were]
تَكْتُمُونَ
conceal"

Qala ya adamu anbihum biasmaihim falamma anbaahum biasmaihim qala alam aqul lakum innee a'lamu ghayba alssamawati waalardi waa'lamu ma tubdoona wama kuntum taktumoona

Sahih International:

He said, "O Adam, inform them of their names." And when he had informed them of their names, He said, "Did I not tell you that I know the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth? And I know what you reveal and what you have concealed."

Surah [2] Al-Baqara : 34

وَاِذۡ قُلۡنَا لِلۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةِ اسۡجُدُوۡا لِاٰدَمَ فَسَجَدُوۡٓا اِلَّاۤ اِبۡلِيۡسَؕ اَبٰى وَاسۡتَكۡبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ(البقرة :34)

وَإِذْ
And when
قُلْنَا
We said
لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
to the angels
ٱسْجُدُوا۟
"Prostrate
لِءَادَمَ
to Adam"
فَسَجَدُوٓا۟
[so] they prostrated
إِلَّآ
except
إِبْلِيسَ
Iblees
أَبَىٰ
He refused
وَٱسْتَكْبَرَ
and was arrogant
وَكَانَ
and became
مِنَ
of
ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
the disbelievers

Waith qulna lilmalaikati osjudoo liadama fasajadoo illa ibleesa aba waistakbara wakana mina alkafireena

Sahih International:

And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.

Surah [2] Al-Baqara : 98

مَنۡ كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِّلّٰهِ وَمَلٰٓٮِٕکَتِهٖ وَ رُسُلِهٖ وَجِبۡرِيۡلَ وَمِيۡكٰٮلَ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَدُوٌّ لِّلۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ(البقرة :98)

مَن
Whoever
كَانَ
is
عَدُوًّا
an enemy
لِّلَّهِ
(to) Allah
وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ
and His Angels
وَرُسُلِهِۦ
and His Messengers
وَجِبْرِيلَ
and Jibreel
وَمِيكَىٰلَ
and Meekael
فَإِنَّ
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
عَدُوٌّ
(is) an enemy
لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ
to the disbelievers

Man kana 'aduwwan lillahi wamalaikatihi warusulihi wajibreela wameekala fainna Allaha 'aduwwun lilkafireena

Sahih International:

Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and His messengers and Gabriel and Michael - then indeed, Allah is an enemy to the disbelievers.

Surah [4] An-Nisa' : 97

اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ تَوَفّٰٮهُمُ الۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةُ ظَالِمِىۡۤ اَنۡفُسِهِمۡ قَالُوۡا فِيۡمَ كُنۡتُمۡ‌ؕ قَالُوۡا كُنَّا مُسۡتَضۡعَفِيۡنَ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ‌ؕ قَالُوۡۤا اَلَمۡ تَكُنۡ اَرۡضُ اللّٰهِ وَاسِعَةً فَتُهَاجِرُوۡا فِيۡهَا‌ؕ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ مَاۡوٰٮهُمۡ جَهَـنَّمُ‌ؕ وَسَآءَتۡ مَصِيۡرًا(النساء :97)

إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
those whom -
تَوَفَّىٰهُمُ
take them (in death)
ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
the Angels
ظَالِمِىٓ
(while) they (were) wronging
أَنفُسِهِمْ
themselves
قَالُوا۟
they say
فِيمَ
"In what (condition)
كُنتُمْۖ
were you?"
قَالُوا۟
They said
كُنَّا
"We were
مُسْتَضْعَفِينَ
oppressed
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِۚ
the earth
قَالُوٓا۟
They said
أَلَمْ
"Not
تَكُنْ
was
أَرْضُ
(the) earth
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
وَٰسِعَةً
spacious (enough)
فَتُهَاجِرُوا۟
so that you (could) emigrate
فِيهَاۚ
in it?"
فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
Then those
مَأْوَىٰهُمْ
(will have) their abode
جَهَنَّمُۖ
(in) Hell -
وَسَآءَتْ
and it is an evil
مَصِيرًا
destination

Inna allatheena tawaffahumu almalaikatu thalimee anfusihim qaloo feema kuntum qaloo kunna mustad'afeena fee alardi qaloo alam takun ardu Allahi wasi'atan fatuhajiroo feeha faolaika mawahum jahannamu wasaat maseeran

Sahih International:

Indeed, those whom the angels take [in death] while wronging themselves - [the angels] will say, "In what [condition] were you?" They will say, "We were oppressed in the land." The angels will say, "Was not the earth of Allah spacious [enough] for you to emigrate therein?" For those, their refuge is Hell - and evil it is as a destination.

Surah [7] Al-A'raf : 12

‌قَالَ مَا مَنَعَكَ اَلَّا تَسۡجُدَ اِذۡ اَمَرۡتُكَ‌ ؕ قَالَ اَنَا خَيۡرٌ مِّنۡهُ‌ ۚ خَلَقۡتَنِىۡ مِنۡ نَّارٍ وَّخَلَقۡتَهٗ مِنۡ طِيۡنٍ(الأعراف :12)

قَالَ
(Allah) said
مَا
"What
مَنَعَكَ
prevented you
أَلَّا
that not
تَسْجُدَ
you prostrate
إِذْ
when
أَمَرْتُكَۖ
I commanded you?"
قَالَ
(Shaitaan) said
أَنَا۠
"I am
خَيْرٌ
better
مِّنْهُ
than him
خَلَقْتَنِى
You created me
مِن
from
نَّارٍ
fire
وَخَلَقْتَهُۥ
and You created him
مِن
from
طِينٍ
clay"

Qala ma mana'aka alla tasjuda ith amartuka qala ana khayrun minhu khalaqtanee min narin wakhalaqtahu min teenin

Sahih International:

[ Allah ] said, "What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?" [Satan] said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay."

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [8] Al-Anfal : 50

وَ لَوۡ تَرٰٓى اِذۡ يَتَوَفَّى الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوا‌ ۙ الۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةُ يَضۡرِبُوۡنَ وُجُوۡهَهُمۡ وَاَدۡبَارَهُمۡۚ وَذُوۡقُوۡا عَذَابَ الۡحَرِيۡقِ(الأنفال :50)

وَلَوْ
And if
تَرَىٰٓ
you (could) see
إِذْ
when
يَتَوَفَّى
take away souls
ٱلَّذِينَ
(of) those who
كَفَرُوا۟ۙ
disbelieve
ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
the Angels
يَضْرِبُونَ
striking
وُجُوهَهُمْ
their faces
وَأَدْبَٰرَهُمْ
and their backs
وَذُوقُوا۟
"Taste
عَذَابَ
(the) punishment
ٱلْحَرِيقِ
(of) the Blazing Fire"

Walaw tara ith yatawaffa allatheena kafaroo almalaikatu yadriboona wujoohahum waadbarahum wathooqoo 'athaba alhareeqi

Sahih International:

And if you could but see when the angels take the souls of those who disbelieved... They are striking their faces and their backs and [saying], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire.
