Surah [2] Al-Baqara : 113

وَقَالَتِ الۡيَهُوۡدُ لَـيۡسَتِ النَّصٰرٰى عَلٰى شَىۡءٍ وَّقَالَتِ النَّصٰرٰى لَـيۡسَتِ الۡيَهُوۡدُ عَلٰى شَىۡءٍۙ وَّهُمۡ يَتۡلُوۡنَ الۡكِتٰبَؕ كَذٰلِكَ قَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ مِثۡلَ قَوۡلِهِمۡ‌ۚ فَاللّٰهُ يَحۡكُمُ بَيۡنَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ فِيۡمَا كَانُوۡا فِيۡهِ يَخۡتَلِفُوۡنَ(البقرة :113)

وَقَالَتِ
And said
ٱلْيَهُودُ
the Jews
لَيْسَتِ
"Not
ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ
the Christians
عَلَىٰ
(are) on
شَىْءٍ
anything"
وَقَالَتِ
and said
ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ
the Christians
لَيْسَتِ
"Not
ٱلْيَهُودُ
the Jews
عَلَىٰ
(are) on
شَىْءٍ
anything"
وَهُمْ
although they
يَتْلُونَ
recite
ٱلْكِتَٰبَۗ
the Book
كَذَٰلِكَ
Like that
قَالَ
said
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
لَا
(do) not
يَعْلَمُونَ
know
مِثْلَ
similar
قَوْلِهِمْۚ
their saying
فَٱللَّهُ
[So] Allah
يَحْكُمُ
will judge
بَيْنَهُمْ
between them
يَوْمَ
(on the) Day
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
(of) Resurrection
فِيمَا
in what
كَانُوا۟
they were
فِيهِ
[in it]
يَخْتَلِفُونَ
differing

Waqalati alyahoodu laysati alnnasara 'ala shayin waqalati alnnasara laysati alyahoodu 'ala shayin wahum yatloona alkitaba kathalika qala allatheena la ya'lamoona mithla qawlihim faAllahu yahkumu baynahum yawma alqiyamati feema kanoo feehi yakhtalifoona

Sahih International:

The Jews say "The Christians have nothing [true] to stand on," and the Christians say, "The Jews have nothing to stand on," although they [both] recite the Scripture. Thus the polytheists speak the same as their words. But Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.

Surah [2] Al-Baqara : 188

وَلَا تَاۡكُلُوۡٓا اَمۡوَالَـكُمۡ بَيۡنَكُمۡ بِالۡبَاطِلِ وَتُدۡلُوۡا بِهَآ اِلَى الۡحُـکَّامِ لِتَاۡکُلُوۡا فَرِيۡقًا مِّنۡ اَمۡوَالِ النَّاسِ بِالۡاِثۡمِ وَاَنۡـتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ(البقرة :188)

وَلَا
And (do) not
تَأْكُلُوٓا۟
eat
أَمْوَٰلَكُم
your properties
بَيْنَكُم
among yourselves
بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ
wrongfully
وَتُدْلُوا۟
and present
بِهَآ
[with] it
إِلَى
to
ٱلْحُكَّامِ
the authorities
لِتَأْكُلُوا۟
so that you may eat
فَرِيقًا
a portion
مِّنْ
from
أَمْوَٰلِ
(the) wealth
ٱلنَّاسِ
(of) the people
بِٱلْإِثْمِ
sinfully
وَأَنتُمْ
while you
تَعْلَمُونَ
know

Wala takuloo amwalakum baynakum bialbatili watudloo biha ila alhukkami litakuloo fareeqan min amwali alnnasi bialithmi waantum ta'lamoona

Sahih International:

And do not consume one another's wealth unjustly or send it [in bribery] to the rulers in order that [they might aid] you [to] consume a portion of the wealth of the people in sin, while you know [it is unlawful].

Surah [3] Ali Imran : 23

اَلَمۡ تَرَ اِلَى الَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡتُوۡا نَصِيۡبًا مِّنَ الۡكِتٰبِ يُدۡعَوۡنَ اِلٰى كِتٰبِ اللّٰهِ لِيَحۡكُمَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلّٰى فَرِيۡقٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ وَهُمۡ مُّعۡرِضُوۡنَ(آل عمران :23)

أَلَمْ
Have not
تَرَ
you seen
إِلَى
[to]
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
أُوتُوا۟
were given
نَصِيبًا
a portion
مِّنَ
of
ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
the Scripture?
يُدْعَوْنَ
They are invited
إِلَىٰ
to
كِتَٰبِ
(the) Book
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
لِيَحْكُمَ
that (it should) arbitrate
بَيْنَهُمْ
between them
ثُمَّ
then
يَتَوَلَّىٰ
turns away
فَرِيقٌ
a party
مِّنْهُمْ
of them
وَهُم
and they (are)
مُّعْرِضُونَ
those who are averse

Alam tara ila allatheena ootoo naseeban mina alkitabi yud'awna ila kitabi Allahi liyahkuma baynahum thumma yatawalla fareequn minhum wahum mu'ridoona

Sahih International:

Do you not consider, [O Muhammad], those who were given a portion of the Scripture? They are invited to the Scripture of Allah that it should arbitrate between them; then a party of them turns away, and they are refusing.

Surah [3] Ali Imran : 55

اِذۡ قَالَ اللّٰهُ يٰعِيۡسٰۤى اِنِّىۡ مُتَوَفِّيۡكَ وَرَافِعُكَ اِلَىَّ وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا وَجَاعِلُ الَّذِيۡنَ اتَّبَعُوۡكَ فَوۡقَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡۤا اِلٰى يَوۡمِ الۡقِيٰمَةِ ‌‌ۚ ثُمَّ اِلَىَّ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَاَحۡكُمُ بَيۡنَكُمۡ فِيۡمَا كُنۡتُمۡ فِيۡهِ تَخۡتَلِفُوۡنَ(آل عمران :55)

إِذْ
When
قَالَ
said
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
يَٰعِيسَىٰٓ
"O Isa!
إِنِّى
Indeed, I
مُتَوَفِّيكَ
(will) take you
وَرَافِعُكَ
and raise you
إِلَىَّ
to Myself
وَمُطَهِّرُكَ
and purify you
مِنَ
from
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
كَفَرُوا۟
disbelieve[d]
وَجَاعِلُ
and I will make
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
ٱتَّبَعُوكَ
follow[ed] you
فَوْقَ
superior
ٱلَّذِينَ
(to) those who
كَفَرُوٓا۟
disbelieve[d]
إِلَىٰ
on
يَوْمِ
(the) Day
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِۖ
(of) [the] Resurrection
ثُمَّ
Then
إِلَىَّ
to Me
مَرْجِعُكُمْ
(is) your return
فَأَحْكُمُ
and I will judge
بَيْنَكُمْ
between you
فِيمَا
about what
كُنتُمْ
you were
فِيهِ
[in it]
تَخْتَلِفُونَ
differing

Ith qala Allahu ya 'eesa innee mutawaffeeka warafi'uka ilayya wamutahhiruka mina allatheena kafaroo waja'ilu allatheena ittaba'ooka fawqa allatheena kafaroo ila yawmi alqiyamati thumma ilayya marji'ukum faahkumu baynakum feema kuntum feehi takhtalifoona

Sahih International:

[Mention] when Allah said, "O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you [in submission to Allah alone] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ.

Surah [4] An-Nisa' : 105

اِنَّاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡكَ الۡكِتٰبَ بِالۡحَـقِّ لِتَحۡكُمَ بَيۡنَ النَّاسِ بِمَاۤ اَرٰٮكَ اللّٰهُ‌ ؕ وَلَا تَكُنۡ لِّـلۡخَآٮِٕنِيۡنَ خَصِيۡمًا(النساء :105)

إِنَّآ
Indeed
أَنزَلْنَآ
We (have) sent down
إِلَيْكَ
to you
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
the Book
بِٱلْحَقِّ
with the truth
لِتَحْكُمَ
so that you may judge
بَيْنَ
between
ٱلنَّاسِ
the people
بِمَآ
with what
أَرَىٰكَ
has shown you
ٱللَّهُۚ
Allah
وَلَا
And (do) not
تَكُن
be
لِّلْخَآئِنِينَ
for the deceitful
خَصِيمًا
a pleader

Inna anzalna ilayka alkitaba bialhaqqi litahkuma bayna alnnasi bima araka Allahu wala takun lilkhaineena khaseeman

Sahih International:

Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth so you may judge between the people by that which Allah has shown you. And do not be for the deceitful an advocate.

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [4] An-Nisa' : 141

الَّذِيۡنَ يَتَرَ بَّصُوۡنَ بِكُمۡ‌ ۚ فَاِنۡ كَانَ لَـكُمۡ فَتۡحٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ قَالُـوۡۤا اَلَمۡ نَـكُنۡ مَّعَكُمۡ ‌ ۖ وَاِنۡ كَانَ لِلۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ نَصِيۡبٌۙ قَالُـوۡۤا اَلَمۡ نَسۡتَحۡوِذۡ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَنَمۡنَعۡكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ‌ ؕ فَاللّٰهُ يَحۡكُمُ بَيۡنَكُمۡ يَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ ‌ؕ وَلَنۡ يَّجۡعَلَ اللّٰهُ لِلۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ عَلَى الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ سَبِيۡلًا(النساء :141)

ٱلَّذِينَ
Those who
يَتَرَبَّصُونَ
are waiting
بِكُمْ
for you
فَإِن
Then if
كَانَ
was
لَكُمْ
for you
فَتْحٌ
a victory
مِّنَ
from
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
قَالُوٓا۟
they say
أَلَمْ
"Were not
نَكُن
we
مَّعَكُمْ
with you?"
وَإِن
But if
كَانَ
(there) was
لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ
for the disbelievers
نَصِيبٌ
a chance
قَالُوٓا۟
they said
أَلَمْ
"Did not
نَسْتَحْوِذْ
we have advantage
عَلَيْكُمْ
over you
وَنَمْنَعْكُم
and we protected you
مِّنَ
from
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَۚ
the believers?"
فَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
يَحْكُمُ
will judge
بَيْنَكُمْ
between you
يَوْمَ
(on the) Day
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِۗ
(of) the Resurrection
وَلَن
and never
يَجْعَلَ
will make
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ
for the disbelievers
عَلَى
over
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
the believers
سَبِيلًا
a way

Allatheena yatarabbasoona bikum fain kana lakum fathun mina Allahi qaloo alam nakun ma'akum wain kana lilkafireena naseebun qaloo alam nastahwith 'alaykum wanamna'kum mina almumineena faAllahu yahkumu baynakum yawma alqiyamati walan yaj'ala Allahu lilkafireena 'ala almumineena sabeelan

Sahih International:

Those who wait [and watch] you. Then if you gain a victory from Allah, they say, "Were we not with you?" But if the disbelievers have a success, they say [to them], "Did we not gain the advantage over you, but we protected you from the believers?" Allah will judge between [all of] you on the Day of Resurrection, and never will Allah give the disbelievers over the believers a way [to overcome them].

Surah [4] An-Nisa' : 58

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَاۡمُرُكُمۡ اَنۡ تُؤَدُّوا الۡاَمٰنٰتِ اِلٰٓى اَهۡلِهَا ۙ وَاِذَا حَكَمۡتُمۡ بَيۡنَ النَّاسِ اَنۡ تَحۡكُمُوۡا بِالۡعَدۡلِ‌ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ نِعِمَّا يَعِظُكُمۡ بِهٖ‌ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ سَمِيۡعًۢا بَصِيۡرًا‏(النساء :58)

إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
يَأْمُرُكُمْ
orders you
أَن
to
تُؤَدُّوا۟
render
ٱلْأَمَٰنَٰتِ
the trusts
إِلَىٰٓ
to
أَهْلِهَا
their owners
وَإِذَا
and when
حَكَمْتُم
you judge
بَيْنَ
between
ٱلنَّاسِ
the people
أَن
to
تَحْكُمُوا۟
judge
بِٱلْعَدْلِۚ
with justice
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
نِعِمَّا
excellently
يَعِظُكُم
advises you
بِهِۦٓۗ
with it
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
كَانَ
is
سَمِيعًۢا
All-Hearing
بَصِيرًا
All-Seeing

Inna Allaha yamurukum an tuaddoo alamanati ila ahliha waitha hakamtum bayna alnnasi an tahkumoo bial'adli inna Allaha ni'imma ya'ithukum bihi inna Allaha kana samee'an baseeran

Sahih International:

Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice. Excellent is that which Allah instructs you. Indeed, Allah is ever Hearing and Seeing.

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [4] An-Nisa' : 65

فَلَا وَرَبِّكَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ حَتّٰى يُحَكِّمُوۡكَ فِيۡمَا شَجَرَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُوۡا فِىۡۤ اَنۡفُسِهِمۡ حَرَجًا مِّمَّا قَضَيۡتَ وَيُسَلِّمُوۡا تَسۡلِيۡمًا(النساء :65)

فَلَا
But no
وَرَبِّكَ
by your Lord
لَا
not
يُؤْمِنُونَ
will they believe
حَتَّىٰ
until
يُحَكِّمُوكَ
they make you judge
فِيمَا
about what
شَجَرَ
arises
بَيْنَهُمْ
between them
ثُمَّ
then
لَا
not
يَجِدُوا۟
they find
فِىٓ
in
أَنفُسِهِمْ
themselves
حَرَجًا
any discomfort
مِّمَّا
about what
قَضَيْتَ
you (have) decided
وَيُسَلِّمُوا۟
and submit
تَسْلِيمًا
(in full) submission

Fala warabbika la yuminoona hatta yuhakkimooka feema shajara baynahum thumma la yajidoo fee anfusihim harajan mimma qadayta wayusallimoo tasleeman

Sahih International:

But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission.

Surah [5] Al-Ma'ida : 42

سَمّٰعُوۡنَ لِلۡكَذِبِ اَ كّٰلُوۡنَ لِلسُّحۡتِ‌ؕ فَاِنۡ جَآءُوۡكَ فَاحۡكُمۡ بَيۡنَهُمۡ اَوۡ اَعۡرِضۡ عَنۡهُمۡ‌ ۚ وَاِنۡ تُعۡرِضۡ عَنۡهُمۡ فَلَنۡ يَّضُرُّوۡكَ شَيۡــًٔـا‌ ؕ وَاِنۡ حَكَمۡتَ فَاحۡكُمۡ بَيۡنَهُمۡ بِالۡقِسۡطِ‌ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحِبُّ الۡمُقۡسِطِيۡنَ(المائدة :42)

سَمَّٰعُونَ
Listeners
لِلْكَذِبِ
to [the] falsehood
أَكَّٰلُونَ
devourers
لِلسُّحْتِۚ
of the forbidden
فَإِن
So if
جَآءُوكَ
they come to you
فَٱحْكُم
then judge
بَيْنَهُمْ
between them
أَوْ
or
أَعْرِضْ
turn away
عَنْهُمْۖ
from them
وَإِن
And if
تُعْرِضْ
you turn away
عَنْهُمْ
from them
فَلَن
then never
يَضُرُّوكَ
will they harm you
شَيْـًٔاۖ
(in) anything
وَإِنْ
And if
حَكَمْتَ
you judge
فَٱحْكُم
then judge
بَيْنَهُم
between them
بِٱلْقِسْطِۚ
with [the] justice
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
يُحِبُّ
loves
ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ
the ones who are just

Samma'oona lilkathibi akkaloona lilssuhti fain jaooka faohkum baynahum aw a'rid 'anhum wain tu'rid 'anhum falan yadurrooka shayan wain hakamta faohkum baynahum bialqisti inna Allaha yuhibbu almuqsiteena

Sahih International:

[They are] avid listeners to falsehood, devourers of [what is] unlawful. So if they come to you, [O Muhammad], judge between them or turn away from them. And if you turn away from them - never will they harm you at all. And if you judge, judge between them with justice. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [5] Al-Ma'ida : 43

وَكَيۡفَ يُحَكِّمُوۡنَكَ وَعِنۡدَهُمُ التَّوۡرٰٮةُ فِيۡهَا حُكۡمُ اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوۡنَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ ذٰلِكَ‌ ؕ وَمَاۤ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ بِالۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ(المائدة :43)

وَكَيْفَ
But how can
يُحَكِّمُونَكَ
they appoint you a judge
وَعِندَهُمُ
while they (have) with them
ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُ
the Taurat
فِيهَا
in it
حُكْمُ
(is the) Command
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah?
ثُمَّ
Then
يَتَوَلَّوْنَ
they turn away
مِنۢ
from
بَعْدِ
after
ذَٰلِكَۚ
that
وَمَآ
and not
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
those
بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
(are) the believers

Wakayfa yuhakkimoonaka wa'indahumu alttawratu feeha hukmu Allahi thumma yatawallawna min ba'di thalika wama olaika bialmumineena

Sahih International:

But how is it that they come to you for judgement while they have the Torah, in which is the judgement of Allah ? Then they turn away, [even] after that; but those are not [in fact] believers.
