وَلَهُم
And for them
مَّقَٰمِعُ
(are) hooked rods
مِنْ
of
حَدِيدٍ
iron

Wa lahum maqaami'u min hadeed

And for [striking] them are maces of iron.

Tafsir

كُلَّمَآ
Every time
أَرَادُوٓا۟
they want
أَن
to
يَخْرُجُوا۟
come out
مِنْهَا
from it
مِنْ
from
غَمٍّ
anguish
أُعِيدُوا۟
they will be returned
فِيهَا
therein
وَذُوقُوا۟
"Taste
عَذَابَ
(the) punishment
ٱلْحَرِيقِ
(of) the Burning Fire!"

Kullamaa araadooo any yakhrujoo minhaa min ghammin u'eedoo feeha wa zooqoo 'azaabal hareeq

Every time they want to get out of it [i.e., Hellfire] from anguish, they will be returned to it, and [it will be said], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire!"

Tafsir

إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
يُدْخِلُ
will admit
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
believe
وَعَمِلُوا۟
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
the righteous deeds
جَنَّٰتٍ
(to) Gardens
تَجْرِى
flow
مِن
from
تَحْتِهَا
underneath it
ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ
the rivers
يُحَلَّوْنَ
They will be adorned
فِيهَا
therein
مِنْ
with
أَسَاوِرَ
bracelets
مِن
of
ذَهَبٍ
gold
وَلُؤْلُؤًاۖ
and pearl
وَلِبَاسُهُمْ
and their garments
فِيهَا
therein
حَرِيرٌ
(will be of) silk

Innal laaha yudkhilul lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati jannaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru yuhallawna feehaa min asaawira min zahabinw wa lu'lu'aa; wa libaasuhum feehaa hareer

Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearl, and their garments therein will be silk.

Tafsir

وَهُدُوٓا۟
And they were guided
إِلَى
to
ٱلطَّيِّبِ
the good
مِنَ
of
ٱلْقَوْلِ
the speech
وَهُدُوٓا۟
and they were guided
إِلَىٰ
to
صِرَٰطِ
(the) path
ٱلْحَمِيدِ
(of) the Praiseworthy

Wa hudooo ilat taiyibi minal qawli wa hudooo ilaaa siraatil hameed

And they had been guided [in worldly life] to good speech, and they were guided to the path of the Praiseworthy.

Tafsir

إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
كَفَرُوا۟
disbelieved
وَيَصُدُّونَ
and hinder
عَن
from
سَبِيلِ
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
وَٱلْمَسْجِدِ
and Al-Masjid Al-Haraam
ٱلْحَرَامِ
and Al-Masjid Al-Haraam
ٱلَّذِى
which
جَعَلْنَٰهُ
We made it
لِلنَّاسِ
for the mankind
سَوَآءً
equal
ٱلْعَٰكِفُ
(are) the resident
فِيهِ
therein
وَٱلْبَادِۚ
and the visitor
وَمَن
and whoever
يُرِدْ
intends
فِيهِ
therein
بِإِلْحَادٍۭ
of deviation
بِظُلْمٍ
(or) wrongdoing
نُّذِقْهُ
We will make him taste
مِنْ
of
عَذَابٍ
a punishment
أَلِيمٍ
painful

Innal lazeena kafaroo wa yasuddoona 'an sabeelil laahi wal Masjidil Haraamil lazee ja'alnaahu linnaasi sawaaa'anil 'aakifu feehi walbaad; wa mai yurid feehi bi ilhaadim bizulmin nuziqhu min 'azaabin aleem

Indeed, those who have disbelieved and avert [people] from the way of Allah and [from] al-Masjid al-Haram, which We made for the people – equal are the resident therein and one from outside – and [also] whoever intends [a deed] therein of deviation [in religion] by wrongdoing – We will make him taste of a painful punishment.

Tafsir

وَإِذْ
And when
بَوَّأْنَا
We assigned
لِإِبْرَٰهِيمَ
to Ibrahim
مَكَانَ
(the) site
ٱلْبَيْتِ
(of) the House
أَن
"That
لَّا
(do) not
تُشْرِكْ
associate
بِى
with Me
شَيْـًٔا
anything
وَطَهِّرْ
and purify
بَيْتِىَ
My House
لِلطَّآئِفِينَ
for those who circumambulate
وَٱلْقَآئِمِينَ
and those who stand
وَٱلرُّكَّعِ
and those who bow
ٱلسُّجُودِ
(and) those who prostrate

Wa iz bawwaanaa li Ibraaheema makaanal Baiti allaa tushrik bee shai'anw wa tahhir Baitiya litaaa'ifeena walqaaa' imeena warrukka 'is sujood

And [mention, O Muhammad], when We designated for Abraham the site of the House, [saying], "Do not associate anything with Me and purify My House for those who perform ‹Tawaf and those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate.

Tafsir

وَأَذِّن
And proclaim
فِى
to
ٱلنَّاسِ
[the] mankind
بِٱلْحَجِّ
[of] the Pilgrimage;
يَأْتُوكَ
they will come to you
رِجَالًا
(on) foot
وَعَلَىٰ
and on
كُلِّ
every
ضَامِرٍ
lean camel;
يَأْتِينَ
they will come
مِن
from
كُلِّ
every
فَجٍّ
mountain highway
عَمِيقٍ
distant

Wa azzin fin naasi bil Hajji yaatooka rijaalanw wa 'alaa kulli daamiriny yaateena min kulli fajjin 'ameeq

And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass –

Tafsir

لِّيَشْهَدُوا۟
That they may witness
مَنَٰفِعَ
benefits
لَهُمْ
for them
وَيَذْكُرُوا۟
and mention
ٱسْمَ
(the) name
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
فِىٓ
on
أَيَّامٍ
days
مَّعْلُومَٰتٍ
known
عَلَىٰ
over
مَا
what
رَزَقَهُم
He has provided them
مِّنۢ
of
بَهِيمَةِ
(the) beast
ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِۖ
(of) cattle
فَكُلُوا۟
So eat
مِنْهَا
of them
وَأَطْعِمُوا۟
and feed
ٱلْبَآئِسَ
the miserable
ٱلْفَقِيرَ
the poor

Li yashhadoo manaafi'a lahum wa yazkurus mal laahi feee ayyaamimma'loomaatin 'alaa maa razaqahum mim baheematil an'aami fakuloo minhaa wa at'imul baaa'isal faqeer

That they may witness [i.e., attend] benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah on known [i.e., specific] days over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. So eat of them and feed the miserable and poor.

Tafsir

ثُمَّ
Then
لْيَقْضُوا۟
let them complete
تَفَثَهُمْ
their prescribed duties
وَلْيُوفُوا۟
and fulfil
نُذُورَهُمْ
their vows
وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا۟
and circumambulate
بِٱلْبَيْتِ
the House
ٱلْعَتِيقِ
[the] Ancient"

Summal yaqdoo tafasahum wal yoofoo nuzoorahum wal yattawwafoo bil Baitil 'Ateeq

Then let them end their untidiness and fulfill their vows and perform ‹Tawaf around the ancient House."

Tafsir

ذَٰلِكَ
That
وَمَن
and whoever
يُعَظِّمْ
honors
حُرُمَٰتِ
(the) sacred rites
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
فَهُوَ
then it
خَيْرٌ
(is) best
لَّهُۥ
for him
عِندَ
near
رَبِّهِۦۗ
his Lord
وَأُحِلَّتْ
And are made lawful
لَكُمُ
to you
ٱلْأَنْعَٰمُ
the cattle
إِلَّا
except
مَا
what
يُتْلَىٰ
is recited
عَلَيْكُمْۖ
to you
فَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟
So avoid
ٱلرِّجْسَ
the abomination
مِنَ
of
ٱلْأَوْثَٰنِ
the idols
وَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟
and avoid
قَوْلَ
(the) word
ٱلزُّورِ
false

Zaalika wa mai yu'azzim hurumaatil laahi fahuwa khairul lahoo 'inda Rabbih; wa uhillat lakumul an'aamu illaa maa yutlaa 'alaikum fajtanibur rijsa minal awsaani wajtaniboo qawlaz zoor

That [has been commanded], and whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allah – it is best for him in the sight of his Lord. And permitted to you are the grazing livestock, except what is recited to you. So avoid the uncleanliness of idols and avoid false statement,
