لَاُعَذِّبَنَّهٗ عَذَابًا شَدِيْدًا اَوْ لَاَا۟ذْبَحَنَّهٗٓ اَوْ لَيَأْتِيَنِّيْ بِسُلْطٰنٍ مُّبِيْنٍ ( النمل: ٢١ )
la-uʿadhibannahu
لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُۥ
I will surely punish him
Je la châtierai très certainement
ʿadhāban
عَذَابًا
(with) a punishment
(avec) un châtiment
shadīdan
شَدِيدًا
severe
sévère
laādh'baḥannahu
لَأَا۟ذْبَحَنَّهُۥٓ
I will surely slaughter him
l’égorgerai très certainement
layatiyannī
لَيَأْتِيَنِّى
he brings me
il m’amènera très certainement
bisul'ṭānin
بِسُلْطَٰنٍ
a reason
[] une preuve autoritaire
mubīnin
مُّبِينٍ
clear"
claire. »
Je la châtierai sévèrement! ou je l'égorgerai! ou bien elle m'apportera un argument explicite».
فَمَكَثَ غَيْرَ بَعِيْدٍ فَقَالَ اَحَطْتُّ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهٖ وَجِئْتُكَ مِنْ سَبَاٍ ۢبِنَبَاٍ يَّقِيْنٍ ( النمل: ٢٢ )
famakatha
فَمَكَثَ
So he stayed
Et il est resté ensuite
baʿīdin
بَعِيدٍ
long
longtemps
faqāla
فَقَالَ
and he said
et elle a ensuite dit :
aḥaṭtu
أَحَطتُ
"I have encompassed
« J’ai enveloppé (de mon savoir)
bimā
بِمَا
that which
[autour de] ce que
tuḥiṭ
تُحِطْ
you have encompassed
tu as enveloppé (de ton savoir)
bihi
بِهِۦ
it
[autour de] lui.
waji'tuka
وَجِئْتُكَ
and I have come to you
Et je t’apporte
binaba-in
بِنَبَإٍ
with news
[] une information
yaqīnin
يَقِينٍ
certain
certaine ! »
Mais elle n'était restée (absente) que peu de temps et dit: «J'ai appris ce que tu n'as point appris; et je te rapporte de Saba' une nouvelle sûre:
اِنِّيْ وَجَدْتُّ امْرَاَةً تَمْلِكُهُمْ وَاُوْتِيَتْ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَّلَهَا عَرْشٌ عَظِيْمٌ ( النمل: ٢٣ )
innī
إِنِّى
Indeed I
Certes, j’
wajadttu
وَجَدتُّ
found
ai trouvé
im'ra-atan
ٱمْرَأَةً
a woman
une femme
tamlikuhum
تَمْلِكُهُمْ
ruling them
(qui) règne (sur) eux
waūtiyat
وَأُوتِيَتْ
and she has been given
et elle a reçu
walahā
وَلَهَا
and for her
et (il y a) à elle
ʿarshun
عَرْشٌ
(is) a throne
un trône
ʿaẓīmun
عَظِيمٌ
great
immense !
J'ai trouvé qu'une femme est leur reine, que de toute chose elle a été comblée et qu'elle a un trône magnifique.
وَجَدْتُّهَا وَقَوْمَهَا يَسْجُدُوْنَ لِلشَّمْسِ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطٰنُ اَعْمَالَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيْلِ فَهُمْ لَا يَهْتَدُوْنَۙ ( النمل: ٢٤ )
wajadttuhā
وَجَدتُّهَا
And I found her
Je l’ai trouvée
waqawmahā
وَقَوْمَهَا
and her people
dans l’état où son peuple
yasjudūna
يَسْجُدُونَ
prostrating
se prosternaient
lilshamsi
لِلشَّمْسِ
to the sun
devant le soleil
min
مِن
instead of Allah
d’
dūni
دُونِ
instead of Allah
en-dehors
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
instead of Allah
(d’)Allâh
wazayyana
وَزَيَّنَ
and has made fair-seeming
et a enjolivé
lahumu
لَهُمُ
to them
pour eux
l-shayṭānu
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ
the Shaitaan
le diable
aʿmālahum
أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ
their deeds
leurs actions
faṣaddahum
فَصَدَّهُمْ
and averted them
et les a empêchés
l-sabīli
ٱلسَّبِيلِ
the Way
la voie,
fahum
فَهُمْ
so they
donc ils
yahtadūna
يَهْتَدُونَ
guided
sont (pas) guidés,
Je l'ai trouvée, elle et son peuple, se prosternant devant le soleil au lieu d'Allah. Le Diable leur a embelli leurs actions, et les a détournés du droit chemin, et ils ne sont pas bien guidés.
اَلَّا يَسْجُدُوْا لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ يُخْرِجُ الْخَبْءَ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُخْفُوْنَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُوْنَ ( النمل: ٢٥ )
allā
أَلَّا
That not
(afin) que ne pas
yasjudū
يَسْجُدُوا۟
they prostrate
ils se prosternent
lillahi
لِلَّهِ
to Allah
devant Allâh,
alladhī
ٱلَّذِى
the One Who
Celui qui
yukh'riju
يُخْرِجُ
brings forth
fait sortir
l-khaba-a
ٱلْخَبْءَ
the hidden
ce qui est caché
l-samāwāti
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
les cieux
wal-arḍi
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the earth
et la terre
wayaʿlamu
وَيَعْلَمُ
and knows
et connaît
tukh'fūna
تُخْفُونَ
you conceal
vous cachez
wamā
وَمَا
and what
et ce que
tuʿ'linūna
تُعْلِنُونَ
you declare
vous annoncez manifestement.
Que ne se prosternent-ils devant Allah qui fait sortir ce qui est caché dans les cieux et la terre, et qui sait ce que vous cachez et aussi ce que vous divulguez?
اَللّٰهُ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۙ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ ۩ ( النمل: ٢٦ )
al-lahu
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
Allâh,
lā
لَآ
(there is) no
(il n’y a) aucun
rabbu
رَبُّ
(the) Lord
(Le) Maître
l-ʿarshi
ٱلْعَرْشِ
(of) the Throne
(du) Trône
l-ʿaẓīmi
ٱلْعَظِيمِ۩
the Great"
immense ! »
Allah! Point de divinité à part Lui, le Seigneur du Trône Immense.
۞ قَالَ سَنَنْظُرُ اَصَدَقْتَ اَمْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الْكٰذِبِيْنَ ( النمل: ٢٧ )
qāla
قَالَ
He said
Il a dit :
sananẓuru
سَنَنظُرُ
"We will see
« Nous verrons très bientôt
aṣadaqta
أَصَدَقْتَ
whether you speak (the) truth
si tu as dit la vérité
l-kādhibīna
ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ
the liars
les menteurs.
Alors, Salomon dit: «Nous allons voir si tu as dis la vérité ou si tu as menti.
اِذْهَبْ بِّكِتٰبِيْ هٰذَا فَاَلْقِهْ اِلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَانْظُرْ مَاذَا يَرْجِعُوْنَ ( النمل: ٢٨ )
bikitābī
بِّكِتَٰبِى
with my letter
avec mon écrit
fa-alqih
فَأَلْقِهْ
and deliver it
et délivre-le ensuite
ilayhim
إِلَيْهِمْ
to them
à eux
tawalla
تَوَلَّ
turn away
détourne-toi
ʿanhum
عَنْهُمْ
from them
d’eux
fa-unẓur
فَٱنظُرْ
and see
et observe ensuite
mādhā
مَاذَا
what
qu’est-ce qu’
yarjiʿūna
يَرْجِعُونَ
they return"
ils retournent. »
Pars avec ma lettre que voici; puis lance-la à eux; ensuite tiens-toi à l'écart d'eux pour voir ce que sera leur réponse.
قَالَتْ يٰٓاَيُّهَا الْمَلَؤُا اِنِّيْٓ اُلْقِيَ اِلَيَّ كِتٰبٌ كَرِيْمٌ ( النمل: ٢٩ )

قَالَتْ
She said
Elle a dit :
yāayyuhā
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
"O
« Ô
l-mala-u
ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟
chiefs!
[les] notables !
innī
إِنِّىٓ
Indeed [I]
Certes, moi
ul'qiya
أُلْقِىَ
is delivered
a été délivré
kitābun
كِتَٰبٌ
a letter
un écrit
karīmun
كَرِيمٌ
noble
honorable.
La reine dit: «O notables! Une noble lettre m'a été lancée.
اِنَّهٗ مِنْ سُلَيْمٰنَ وَاِنَّهٗ بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ ۙ ( النمل: ٣٠ )
innahu
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed it
Certes, il
sulaymāna
سُلَيْمَٰنَ
Sulaiman
Salomon.
wa-innahu
وَإِنَّهُۥ
and indeed it (is)
Et certes, il (est)
bis'mi
بِسْمِ
"In the name
“Avec (Le) Nom
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
(d’)Allâh,
l-raḥmāni
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ
the Most Gracious
L’Extrêmement Miséricordieux en Son Essence,
l-raḥīmi
ٱلرَّحِيمِ
the Most Merciful
Le Très Miséricordieux”,
Elle vient de Salomon; et c'est: «Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux,
