قُلْ
Say
مَن
"Who
يَرْزُقُكُم
provides for you
مِّنَ
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
the sky
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the earth?
أَمَّن
Or who
يَمْلِكُ
controls
ٱلسَّمْعَ
the hearing
وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرَ
and the sight?
وَمَن
And who
يُخْرِجُ
brings out
ٱلْحَىَّ
the living
مِنَ
from
ٱلْمَيِّتِ
the dead
وَيُخْرِجُ
and brings forth
ٱلْمَيِّتَ
the dead
مِنَ
from
ٱلْحَىِّ
the living?
وَمَن
And who
يُدَبِّرُ
disposes
ٱلْأَمْرَۚ
the affairs?"
فَسَيَقُولُونَ
Then they will say
ٱللَّهُۚ
"Allah"
فَقُلْ
Then say
أَفَلَا
"Then will not
تَتَّقُونَ
you fear (Him)?"

Qul mai yarzuqukum minas samaaa'i wal ardi ammany yamlikus sam'a wal absaara wa mai yukhrijul haiya minal maiyiti wa yikhrijul maiyita minal haiyi wa mai yudabbirul amr; fasa yaqooloonal laah; faqul afalaa tattaqoon

Say, "Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Or who controls hearing and sight and who brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and who arranges [every] matter?" They will say, "Allah," so say, "Then will you not fear Him?"

Tafsir

فَذَٰلِكُمُ
For that
ٱللَّهُ
(is) Allah
رَبُّكُمُ
your Lord
ٱلْحَقُّۖ
the true
فَمَاذَا
So what (can be)
بَعْدَ
after
ٱلْحَقِّ
the truth
إِلَّا
except
ٱلضَّلَٰلُۖ
the error?
فَأَنَّىٰ
So how
تُصْرَفُونَ
(are) you turned away

Fazaalikumul laahu Rabbukumul haqq; famaazaa ba'dal haqqi illad dalaalu fa annnaa tusrafoon

For that is Allah, your Lord, the Truth. And what can be beyond truth except error? So how are you averted?

Tafsir

كَذَٰلِكَ
Thus
حَقَّتْ
(is) proved true
كَلِمَتُ
(the) Word
رَبِّكَ
(of) your Lord
عَلَى
upon
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
فَسَقُوٓا۟
defiantly disobeyed
أَنَّهُمْ
that they
لَا
(will) not
يُؤْمِنُونَ
believe

Kazaalika haqqat Kalimatu Rabbika 'alal lazeena fasaqooo annahum laa yu'minoon

Thus the word [i.e., decree] of your Lord has come into effect upon those who defiantly disobeyed – that they will not believe.

Tafsir

قُلْ
Say
هَلْ
"Is (there)
مِن
of
شُرَكَآئِكُم
your partners
مَّن
(any) who
يَبْدَؤُا۟
originates
ٱلْخَلْقَ
the creation
ثُمَّ
then
يُعِيدُهُۥۚ
repeats it?"
قُلِ
Say
ٱللَّهُ
"Allah
يَبْدَؤُا۟
originates
ٱلْخَلْقَ
the creation
ثُمَّ
then
يُعِيدُهُۥۖ
repeats it
فَأَنَّىٰ
So how
تُؤْفَكُونَ
you are deluded?"

Qul hal min shurakaaa 'ikum mai yabda'ul khalqa suma yu'eeduh; qulil laahu yabda'ul khalqa summa yu'eeduhoo fa annaa tu'fakoon

Say, "Are there of your 'partners' any who begins creation and then repeats it?" Say, "Allah begins creation and then repeats it, so how are you deluded?"

Tafsir

قُلْ
Say
هَلْ
"Is (there)
مِن
of
شُرَكَآئِكُم
your partners
مَّن
(any) who
يَهْدِىٓ
guides
إِلَى
to
ٱلْحَقِّۚ
the truth?"
قُلِ
Say
ٱللَّهُ
"Allah
يَهْدِى
guides
لِلْحَقِّۗ
to the truth
أَفَمَن
Is then (he) who
يَهْدِىٓ
guides
إِلَى
to
ٱلْحَقِّ
the truth
أَحَقُّ
more worthy
أَن
that
يُتَّبَعَ
he should be followed
أَمَّن
or (he) who
لَّا
(does) not
يَهِدِّىٓ
guide
إِلَّآ
unless
أَن
[that]
يُهْدَىٰۖ
he is guided?
فَمَا
Then what
لَكُمْ
(is) for you
كَيْفَ
how
تَحْكُمُونَ
you judge?"

Qul hal min shurakaaa 'ikum mai yahdeee ilal haqq; qulil laahu yahdee lilhaqq; afamai yahdeee ilal haqqi ahaqqu ai yuttaba'a ammal laa yahiddeee illaaa ai yuhdaa famaa lakum kaifa tahkumoon

Say, "Are there of your 'partners' any who guides to the truth?" Say, "Allah guides to the truth. So is He who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed or he who guides not unless he is guided? Then what is [wrong] with you – how do you judge?"

Tafsir

وَمَا
And not
يَتَّبِعُ
follow
أَكْثَرُهُمْ
most of them
إِلَّا
except
ظَنًّاۚ
assumption
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱلظَّنَّ
the assumption
لَا
(does) not
يُغْنِى
avail
مِنَ
against
ٱلْحَقِّ
the truth
شَيْـًٔاۚ
anything
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
عَلِيمٌۢ
(is) All-Knower
بِمَا
of what
يَفْعَلُونَ
they do

Wa maa yattabi'u aksaruhum illaa zannaa; innaz zanna laa yughnee minal haqqi shai'aa; innal laaha 'Aleemum bimaa yaf'aloon

And most of them follow not except assumption. Indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of what they do.

Tafsir

وَمَا
And not
كَانَ
is
هَٰذَا
this
ٱلْقُرْءَانُ
the Quran
أَن
that
يُفْتَرَىٰ
(it could be) produced
مِن
by
دُونِ
other than Allah
ٱللَّهِ
other than Allah
وَلَٰكِن
but
تَصْدِيقَ
(it is) a confirmation
ٱلَّذِى
(of that) which
بَيْنَ
(was) before it
يَدَيْهِ
(was) before it
وَتَفْصِيلَ
and a detailed explanation
ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
(of) the Book
لَا
(there is) no
رَيْبَ
doubt
فِيهِ
in it
مِن
from
رَّبِّ
(the) Lord
ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
(of) the worlds

Wa maa kaana haazal Quraanu ai yuftaraa min doonil laahi wa laakin tasdeeqal lazee baina yadaihi wa tafseelal Kitaabi laa raiba fee mir Rabbil 'aalameen

And it was not [possible] for this Quran to be produced by other than Allah, but [it is] a confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of the [former] Scripture, about which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds.

Tafsir

أَمْ
Or
يَقُولُونَ
(do) they say
ٱفْتَرَىٰهُۖ
"He has invented it?"
قُلْ
Say
فَأْتُوا۟
"Then bring
بِسُورَةٍ
a Surah
مِّثْلِهِۦ
like it
وَٱدْعُوا۟
and call
مَنِ
whoever
ٱسْتَطَعْتُم
you can
مِّن
besides Allah
دُونِ
besides Allah
ٱللَّهِ
besides Allah
إِن
if
كُنتُمْ
you are
صَٰدِقِينَ
truthful"

Am yaqooloonaf taraahu qul faatoo bisooratim mislihee wad'oo manis tata'tum min doonil laahi in kuntum saadiqeen

Or do they say [about the Prophet (r)], "He invented it?" Say, "Then bring forth a Surah like it and call upon [for assistance] whomever you can besides Allah, if you should be truthful."

Tafsir

بَلْ
Nay
كَذَّبُوا۟
they denied
بِمَا
what
لَمْ
not
يُحِيطُوا۟
they could encompass
بِعِلْمِهِۦ
(of) its knowledge
وَلَمَّا
and not
يَأْتِهِمْ
has come (to) them
تَأْوِيلُهُۥۚ
its interpretation
كَذَٰلِكَ
Thus
كَذَّبَ
denied
ٱلَّذِينَ
those
مِن
before them
قَبْلِهِمْۖ
before them
فَٱنظُرْ
then see
كَيْفَ
how
كَانَ
was
عَٰقِبَةُ
(the) end
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
(of) the wrongdoers

Bal kazzaboo bimaa lam yuheetoo bi'ilmihee wa lammaa yaatihim taaweeluh; kazaalika kazzabal lazeena min qablihim fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatuz zaalimeen

Rather, they have denied that which they encompass not in knowledge and whose interpretation has not yet come to them. Thus did those before them deny. Then observe how was the end of the wrongdoers.

Tafsir

وَمِنْهُم
And of them
مَّن
(is one) who
يُؤْمِنُ
believes
بِهِۦ
in it
وَمِنْهُم
and of them
مَّن
(is one) who
لَّا
(does) not
يُؤْمِنُ
believe
بِهِۦۚ
in it
وَرَبُّكَ
And your Lord
أَعْلَمُ
(is) All-Knower
بِٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
of the corrupters

Wa minhum mai yu 'minu bihee wa minhum mal laa yu'minu bih; wa Rabbuka a'lamu bilmufsideen

And of them are those who believe in it, and of them are those who do not believe in it. And your Lord is most knowing of the corrupters.
