جَنّٰتِ عَدْنِ ِۨالَّتِيْ وَعَدَ الرَّحْمٰنُ عِبَادَهٗ بِالْغَيْبِۗ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ وَعْدُهٗ مَأْتِيًّا   ( مريم: ٦١ )

جَنَّٰتِ
Gardens
ʿadnin
عَدْنٍ
(of) Eden
allatī
ٱلَّتِى
which
waʿada
وَعَدَ
promised
l-raḥmānu
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ
the Most Gracious
ʿibādahu
عِبَادَهُۥ
(to) His slaves
bil-ghaybi
بِٱلْغَيْبِۚ
in the unseen
innahu
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed [it]
kāna
كَانَ
is
waʿduhu
وَعْدُهُۥ
His promise
matiyyan
مَأْتِيًّا
sure to come

[Therein are] gardens of perpetual residence which the Most Merciful has promised His servants in the unseen. Indeed, His promise has ever been eminent.

Tafsir

لَا يَسْمَعُوْنَ فِيْهَا لَغْوًا اِلَّا سَلٰمًاۗ وَلَهُمْ رِزْقُهُمْ فِيْهَا بُكْرَةً وَّعَشِيًّا   ( مريم: ٦٢ )

لَّا
Not
yasmaʿūna
يَسْمَعُونَ
they will hear
fīhā
فِيهَا
therein
laghwan
لَغْوًا
vain talk
illā
إِلَّا
but
salāman
سَلَٰمًاۖ
peace
walahum
وَلَهُمْ
And for them
riz'quhum
رِزْقُهُمْ
(is) their provision
fīhā
فِيهَا
therein
buk'ratan
بُكْرَةً
morning
waʿashiyyan
وَعَشِيًّا
and evening

They will not hear therein any ill speech – only [greetings of] peace – and they will have their provision therein, morning and afternoon.

Tafsir

تِلْكَ الْجَنَّةُ الَّتِيْ نُوْرِثُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا مَنْ كَانَ تَقِيًّا   ( مريم: ٦٣ )

til'ka
تِلْكَ
This
l-janatu
ٱلْجَنَّةُ
(is) Paradise
allatī
ٱلَّتِى
which
nūrithu
نُورِثُ
We give (as) inheritance
min
مِنْ
[of] (to)
ʿibādinā
عِبَادِنَا
Our slaves
man
مَن
(the one) who
kāna
كَانَ
is
taqiyyan
تَقِيًّا
righteous

That is Paradise, which We give as inheritance to those of Our servants who were fearing of Allah.

Tafsir

وَمَا نَتَنَزَّلُ اِلَّا بِاَمْرِ رَبِّكَۚ لَهٗ مَا بَيْنَ اَيْدِيْنَا وَمَا خَلْفَنَا وَمَا بَيْنَ ذٰلِكَ وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ نَسِيًّا ۚ  ( مريم: ٦٤ )

وَمَا
And not
natanazzalu
نَتَنَزَّلُ
we descend
illā
إِلَّا
except
bi-amri
بِأَمْرِ
by (the) Command
rabbika
رَبِّكَۖ
(of) your Lord
lahu
لَهُۥ
To Him (belongs)
مَا
what
bayna
بَيْنَ
(is) before us
aydīnā
أَيْدِينَا
(is) before us
wamā
وَمَا
and what
khalfanā
خَلْفَنَا
(is) behind us
wamā
وَمَا
and what
bayna
بَيْنَ
(is) between
dhālika
ذَٰلِكَۚ
that
wamā
وَمَا
And not
kāna
كَانَ
is
rabbuka
رَبُّكَ
your Lord
nasiyyan
نَسِيًّا
forgetful

[Gabriel said], "And we [angels] descend not except by the order of your Lord. To Him belongs that before us and that behind us and what is in between. And never is your Lord forgetful –

Tafsir

رَبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فَاعْبُدْهُ وَاصْطَبِرْ لِعِبَادَتِهٖۗ هَلْ تَعْلَمُ لَهٗ سَمِيًّا ࣖ  ( مريم: ٦٥ )

Lord
l-samāwāti
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
(of) the heavens
wal-arḍi
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the earth
wamā
وَمَا
and whatever
baynahumā
بَيْنَهُمَا
(is) between both of them
fa-uʿ'bud'hu
فَٱعْبُدْهُ
so worship Him
wa-iṣ'ṭabir
وَٱصْطَبِرْ
and be constant
liʿibādatihi
لِعِبَٰدَتِهِۦۚ
in His worship
hal
هَلْ
Do
taʿlamu
تَعْلَمُ
you know
lahu
لَهُۥ
for Him
samiyyan
سَمِيًّا
any similarity?

Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them – so worship Him and have patience for His worship. Do you know of any similarity to Him?"

Tafsir

وَيَقُوْلُ الْاِنْسَانُ ءَاِذَا مَا مِتُّ لَسَوْفَ اُخْرَجُ حَيًّا   ( مريم: ٦٦ )

wayaqūlu
وَيَقُولُ
And says
l-insānu
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
[the] man
a-idhā
أَءِذَا
"What! When
مَا
"What! When
mittu
مِتُّ
I am dead
lasawfa
لَسَوْفَ
surely will
ukh'raju
أُخْرَجُ
I be brought forth
ḥayyan
حَيًّا
alive?"

And man [i.e., the disbeliever] says, "When I have died, am I going to be brought forth alive?"

Tafsir

اَوَلَا يَذْكُرُ الْاِنْسَانُ اَنَّا خَلَقْنٰهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَلَمْ يَكُ شَيْـًٔا   ( مريم: ٦٧ )

Does not
yadhkuru
يَذْكُرُ
remember
l-insānu
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
[the] man
annā
أَنَّا
that We
khalaqnāhu
خَلَقْنَٰهُ
We created him
min
مِن
before
qablu
قَبْلُ
before
walam
وَلَمْ
while not
yaku
يَكُ
he was
shayan
شَيْـًٔا
anything?

Does man not remember that We created him before, while he was nothing?

Tafsir

فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْ وَالشَّيٰطِيْنَ ثُمَّ لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْ حَوْلَ جَهَنَّمَ جِثِيًّا   ( مريم: ٦٨ )

fawarabbika
فَوَرَبِّكَ
So by your Lord
lanaḥshurannahum
لَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْ
surely We will gather them
wal-shayāṭīna
وَٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ
and the devils
thumma
ثُمَّ
then
lanuḥ'ḍirannahum
لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْ
surely We will bring them
ḥawla
حَوْلَ
around
jahannama
جَهَنَّمَ
Hell
jithiyyan
جِثِيًّا
bent (on) knees

So by your Lord, We will surely gather them and the devils; then We will bring them to be present around Hell upon their knees.

Tafsir

ثُمَّ لَنَنْزِعَنَّ مِنْ كُلِّ شِيْعَةٍ اَيُّهُمْ اَشَدُّ عَلَى الرَّحْمٰنِ عِتِيًّا ۚ  ( مريم: ٦٩ )

لَنَنزِعَنَّ
surely We will drag out

every
shīʿatin
شِيعَةٍ
sect
ayyuhum
أَيُّهُمْ
those of them
ashaddu
أَشَدُّ
(who were) worst
ʿalā
عَلَى
against
l-raḥmāni
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ
the Most Gracious
ʿitiyyan
عِتِيًّا
(in) rebellion

Then We will surely extract from every sect those of them who were worst against the Most Merciful in insolence.

Tafsir

ثُمَّ لَنَحْنُ اَعْلَمُ بِالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ اَوْ لٰى بِهَا صِلِيًّا   ( مريم: ٧٠ )

Then

لَنَحْنُ
surely We
aʿlamu
أَعْلَمُ
know best
bi-alladhīna
بِٱلَّذِينَ
[of] those who
hum
هُمْ
[they]
awlā
أَوْلَىٰ
(are) most worthy
bihā
بِهَا
therein
ṣiliyyan
صِلِيًّا
(of) being burnt

Then, surely it is We who are most knowing of those most worthy of burning therein.
