Surah [2] Al-Baqara : 143

وَكَذٰلِكَ جَعَلۡنٰكُمۡ اُمَّةً وَّسَطًا لِّتَکُوۡنُوۡا شُهَدَآءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُوۡنَ الرَّسُوۡلُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ شَهِيۡدًا ؕ وَمَا جَعَلۡنَا الۡقِبۡلَةَ الَّتِىۡ كُنۡتَ عَلَيۡهَآ اِلَّا لِنَعۡلَمَ مَنۡ يَّتَّبِعُ الرَّسُوۡلَ مِمَّنۡ يَّنۡقَلِبُ عَلٰى عَقِبَيۡهِ ‌ؕ وَاِنۡ كَانَتۡ لَكَبِيۡرَةً اِلَّا عَلَى الَّذِيۡنَ هَدَى اللّٰهُ ؕ وَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ لِيُضِيْعَ اِيۡمَانَكُمۡ‌ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَءُوۡفٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ(البقرة :143)

وَكَذَٰلِكَ
And thus
جَعَلْنَٰكُمْ
We made you
أُمَّةً
a community
وَسَطًا
(of the) middle way
لِّتَكُونُوا۟
so that you will be
شُهَدَآءَ
witnesses
عَلَى
over
ٱلنَّاسِ
the mankind
وَيَكُونَ
and will be
ٱلرَّسُولُ
the Messenger
عَلَيْكُمْ
on you
شَهِيدًاۗ
a witness
وَمَا
And not
جَعَلْنَا
We made
ٱلْقِبْلَةَ
the direction of prayer
ٱلَّتِى
which
كُنتَ
you were used to
عَلَيْهَآ
[on it]
إِلَّا
except
لِنَعْلَمَ
that We make evident
مَن
(he) who
يَتَّبِعُ
follows
ٱلرَّسُولَ
the Messenger
مِمَّن
from (he) who
يَنقَلِبُ
turns back
عَلَىٰ
on
عَقِبَيْهِۚ
his heels
وَإِن
And indeed
كَانَتْ
it was
لَكَبِيرَةً
certainly a great (test)
إِلَّا
except
عَلَى
for
ٱلَّذِينَ
those whom
هَدَى
guided
ٱللَّهُۗ
(by) Allah
وَمَا
And not
كَانَ
will
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
لِيُضِيعَ
let go waste
إِيمَٰنَكُمْۚ
your faith
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
بِٱلنَّاسِ
(is) to [the] mankind
لَرَءُوفٌ
Full of Kindness
رَّحِيمٌ
Most Merciful

Wakathalika ja'alnakum ommatan wasatan litakoonoo shuhadaa 'ala alnnasi wayakoona alrrasoolu 'alaykum shaheedan wama ja'alna alqiblata allatee kunta 'alayha illa lina'lama man yattabi'u alrrasoola mimman yanqalibu 'ala 'aqibayhi wain kanat lakabeeratan illa 'ala allatheena hada Allahu wama kana Allahu liyudee'a eemanakum inna Allaha bialnnasi laraoofun raheemun

Sahih International:

And thus we have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you. And We did not make the qiblah which you used to face except that We might make evident who would follow the Messenger from who would turn back on his heels. And indeed, it is difficult except for those whom Allah has guided. And never would Allah have caused you to lose your faith. Indeed Allah is, to the people, Kind and Merciful.

Surah [2] Al-Baqara : 148

وَلِكُلٍّ وِّجۡهَةٌ هُوَ مُوَلِّيۡهَا ‌ۚ فَاسۡتَبِقُوا الۡخَيۡرٰتِؕ اَيۡنَ مَا تَكُوۡنُوۡا يَاۡتِ بِكُمُ اللّٰهُ جَمِيۡعًا ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدِيۡرٌ(البقرة :148)

وَلِكُلٍّ
And for everyone
وِجْهَةٌ
(is) a direction
هُوَ
he
مُوَلِّيهَاۖ
turns towards it
فَٱسْتَبِقُوا۟
so race
ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِۚ
(to) the good
أَيْنَ
Wherever
مَا
that
تَكُونُوا۟
you will be
يَأْتِ
will bring
بِكُمُ
you
ٱللَّهُ
(by) Allah
جَمِيعًاۚ
together
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
عَلَىٰ
(is) on
كُلِّ
every
شَىْءٍ
thing
قَدِيرٌ
All-Powerful

Walikullin wijhatun huwa muwalleeha faistabiqoo alkhayrati ayna ma takoonoo yati bikumu Allahu jamee'an inna Allaha 'ala kulli shayin qadeerun

Sahih International:

For each [religious following] is a direction toward which it faces. So race to [all that is] good. Wherever you may be, Allah will bring you forth [for judgement] all together. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [4] An-Nisa' : 148

لَا يُحِبُّ اللّٰهُ الۡجَــهۡرَ بِالسُّوۡٓءِ مِنَ الۡقَوۡلِ اِلَّا مَنۡ ظُلِمَ‌ؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ سَمِيۡعًا عَلِيۡمًا‏(النساء :148)

لَّا
(Does) not
يُحِبُّ
love
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
ٱلْجَهْرَ
the public mention
بِٱلسُّوٓءِ
of [the] evil
مِنَ
[of]
ٱلْقَوْلِ
[the] words
إِلَّا
except
مَن
(by the one) who
ظُلِمَۚ
has been wronged
وَكَانَ
And is
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
سَمِيعًا
All-Hearing
عَلِيمًا
All-Knowing

La yuhibbu Allahu aljahra bialssooi mina alqawli illa man thulima wakana Allahu samee'an 'aleeman

Sahih International:

Allah does not like the public mention of evil except by one who has been wronged. And ever is Allah Hearing and Knowing.

Surah [4] An-Nisa' : 36

وَاعۡبُدُوا اللّٰهَ وَلَا تُشۡرِكُوۡا بِهٖ شَيۡــًٔـا‌ ؕ وَّبِالۡوَالِدَيۡنِ اِحۡسَانًا وَّبِذِى الۡقُرۡبٰى وَالۡيَتٰمٰى وَ الۡمَسٰكِيۡنِ وَالۡجَـارِ ذِى الۡقُرۡبٰى وَالۡجَـارِ الۡجُـنُبِ وَالصَّاحِبِ بِالۡجَـنۡۢبِ وَابۡنِ السَّبِيۡلِ ۙ وَمَا مَلَـكَتۡ اَيۡمَانُكُمۡ‌ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَنۡ كَانَ مُخۡتَالًا فَخُوۡرَا(النساء :36)

وَٱعْبُدُوا۟
And worship
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
وَلَا
And (do) not
تُشْرِكُوا۟
associate
بِهِۦ
with Him
شَيْـًٔاۖ
anything
وَبِٱلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ
and to the parents
إِحْسَٰنًا
(do) good
وَبِذِى
and with
ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ
the relatives
وَٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ
and the orphans
وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينِ
and the needy
وَٱلْجَارِ
and the neighbor
ذِى
(who is)
ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ
near
وَٱلْجَارِ
and the neighbor
ٱلْجُنُبِ
(who is) farther away
وَٱلصَّاحِبِ
and the companion
بِٱلْجَنۢبِ
by your side
وَٱبْنِ
and the
ٱلسَّبِيلِ
traveler
وَمَا
and what
مَلَكَتْ
possess[ed]
أَيْمَٰنُكُمْۗ
your right hands
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
لَا
(does) not
يُحِبُّ
love
مَن
(the one) who
كَانَ
is
مُخْتَالًا
[a] proud
فَخُورًا
(and) [a] boastful

Wao'budoo Allaha wala tushrikoo bihi shayan wabialwalidayni ihsanan wabithee alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeeni waaljari thee alqurba waaljari aljunubi waalssahibi bialjanbi waibni alssabeeli wama malakat aymanukum inna Allaha la yuhibbu man kana mukhtalan fakhooran

Sahih International:

Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful.

Surah [5] Al-Ma'ida : 13

فَبِمَا نَقۡضِهِمۡ مِّيۡثَاقَهُمۡ لَعَنّٰهُمۡ وَجَعَلۡنَا قُلُوۡبَهُمۡ قٰسِيَةً‌ ۚ يُحَرِّفُوۡنَ الۡـكَلِمَ عَنۡ مَّوَاضِعِهٖ‌ۙ وَنَسُوۡا حَظًّا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوۡا بِهٖۚ وَلَا تَزَالُ تَطَّلِعُ عَلٰى خَآٮِٕنَةٍ مِّنۡهُمۡ اِلَّا قَلِيۡلًا مِّنۡهُمۡ‌ فَاعۡفُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَاصۡفَحۡ‌ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحِبُّ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ(المائدة :13)

فَبِمَا
So for
نَقْضِهِم
their breaking
مِّيثَٰقَهُمْ
(of) their covenant
لَعَنَّٰهُمْ
We cursed them
وَجَعَلْنَا
and We made
قُلُوبَهُمْ
their hearts
قَٰسِيَةًۖ
hard
يُحَرِّفُونَ
They distort
ٱلْكَلِمَ
the words
عَن
from
مَّوَاضِعِهِۦۙ
their places
وَنَسُوا۟
and forgot
حَظًّا
a part
مِّمَّا
of what
ذُكِّرُوا۟
they were reminded
بِهِۦۚ
of [it]
وَلَا
And not
تَزَالُ
will you cease
تَطَّلِعُ
to discover
عَلَىٰ
of
خَآئِنَةٍ
treachery
مِّنْهُمْ
from them
إِلَّا
except
قَلِيلًا
a few
مِّنْهُمْۖ
of them
فَٱعْفُ
But forgive
عَنْهُمْ
them
وَٱصْفَحْۚ
and overlook
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
يُحِبُّ
loves
ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
the good-doers

Fabima naqdihim meethaqahum la'annahum waja'alna quloobahum qasiyatan yuharrifoona alkalima 'an mawadi'ihi wanasoo haththan mimma thukkiroo bihi wala tazalu tattali'u 'ala khainatin minhum illa qaleelan minhum fao'fu 'anhum waisfah inna Allaha yuhibbu almuhsineena

Sahih International:

So for their breaking of the covenant We cursed them and made their hearts hard. They distort words from their [proper] usages and have forgotten a portion of that of which they were reminded. And you will still observe deceit among them, except a few of them. But pardon them and overlook [their misdeeds]. Indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.

Surah [5] Al-Ma'ida : 48

وَاَنۡزَلۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡكَ الۡكِتٰبَ بِالۡحَـقِّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ مِنَ الۡكِتٰبِ وَمُهَيۡمِنًا عَلَيۡهِ‌ فَاحۡكُمۡ بَيۡنَهُمۡ بِمَاۤ اَنۡزَلَ اللّٰهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعۡ اَهۡوَآءَهُمۡ عَمَّا جَآءَكَ مِنَ الۡحَـقِّ‌ؕ لِكُلٍّ جَعَلۡنَا مِنۡكُمۡ شِرۡعَةً وَّمِنۡهَاجًا ‌ؕ وَلَوۡ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ لَجَـعَلَـكُمۡ اُمَّةً وَّاحِدَةً وَّلٰـكِنۡ لِّيَبۡلُوَكُمۡ فِىۡ مَاۤ اٰتٰٮكُمۡ فَاسۡتَبِقُوا الۡخَـيۡـرٰتِ‌ؕ اِلَى اللّٰهِ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ جَمِيۡعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُمۡ بِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ فِيۡهِ تَخۡتَلِفُوۡنَۙ(المائدة :48)

وَأَنزَلْنَآ
And We revealed
إِلَيْكَ
to you
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
the Book
بِٱلْحَقِّ
in [the] truth
مُصَدِّقًا
confirming
لِّمَا
what
بَيْنَ
(was) before
يَدَيْهِ
his hands
مِنَ
of
ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
the Book
وَمُهَيْمِنًا
and a guardian
عَلَيْهِۖ
over it
فَٱحْكُم
So judge
بَيْنَهُم
between them
بِمَآ
by what
أَنزَلَ
has revealed
ٱللَّهُۖ
Allah
وَلَا
and (do) not
تَتَّبِعْ
follow
أَهْوَآءَهُمْ
their vain desires
عَمَّا
when
جَآءَكَ
has come to you
مِنَ
of
ٱلْحَقِّۚ
the truth
لِكُلٍّ
For each
جَعَلْنَا
We have made
مِنكُمْ
for you
شِرْعَةً
a law
وَمِنْهَاجًاۚ
and a clear way
وَلَوْ
And if
شَآءَ
(had) willed
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
لَجَعَلَكُمْ
He (would have) made you
أُمَّةً
a community
وَٰحِدَةً
one
وَلَٰكِن
[and] but
لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ
to test you
فِى
in
مَآ
what
ءَاتَىٰكُمْۖ
He (has) given you
فَٱسْتَبِقُوا۟
so race
ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِۚ
(to) the good
إِلَى
To
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
مَرْجِعُكُمْ
you will return
جَمِيعًا
all
فَيُنَبِّئُكُم
then He will inform you
بِمَا
of what
كُنتُمْ
you were
فِيهِ
concerning it
تَخْتَلِفُونَ
differing

Waanzalna ilayka alkitaba bialhaqqi musaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi mina alkitabi wamuhayminan 'alayhi faohkum baynahum bima anzala Allahu wala tattabi' ahwaahum 'amma jaaka mina alhaqqi likullin ja'alna minkum shir'atan waminhajan walaw shaa Allahu laja'alakum ommatan wahidatan walakin liyabluwakum fee ma atakum faistabiqoo alkhayrati ila Allahi marji'ukum jamee'an fayunabbiokum bima kuntum feehi takhtalifoona

Sahih International:

And We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a criterion over it. So judge between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations away from what has come to you of the truth. To each of you We prescribed a law and a method. Had Allah willed, He would have made you one nation [united in religion], but [He intended] to test you in what He has given you; so race to [all that is] good. To Allah is your return all together, and He will [then] inform you concerning that over which you used to differ.

Surah [6] Al-An'am : 152

وَلَا تَقۡرَبُوۡا مَالَ الۡيَتِيۡمِ اِلَّا بِالَّتِىۡ هِىَ اَحۡسَنُ حَتّٰى يَبۡلُغَ اَشُدَّهٗ‌ ۚ وَاَوۡفُوۡا الۡكَيۡلَ وَالۡمِيۡزَانَ بِالۡقِسۡطِ‌ ۚ لَا نُـكَلِّفُ نَفۡسًا اِلَّا وُسۡعَهَا‌ ۚ وَاِذَا قُلۡتُمۡ فَاعۡدِلُوۡا وَلَوۡ كَانَ ذَا قُرۡبٰى‌‌ ۚ وَبِعَهۡدِ اللّٰهِ اَوۡفُوۡا‌ ؕ ذٰ لِكُمۡ وَصّٰٮكُمۡ بِهٖ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُوۡنَ(الأنعام :152)

وَلَا
And (do) not
تَقْرَبُوا۟
go near
مَالَ
wealth
ٱلْيَتِيمِ
(of) the orphans
إِلَّا
except
بِٱلَّتِى
with that
هِىَ
which
أَحْسَنُ
(is) best
حَتَّىٰ
until
يَبْلُغَ
he reaches
أَشُدَّهُۥۖ
his maturity
وَأَوْفُوا۟
And give full
ٱلْكَيْلَ
[the] measure
وَٱلْمِيزَانَ
and the weight
بِٱلْقِسْطِۖ
with justice
لَا
Not
نُكَلِّفُ
We burden
نَفْسًا
any soul
إِلَّا
except
وُسْعَهَاۖ
(to) its capacity
وَإِذَا
And when
قُلْتُمْ
you speak
فَٱعْدِلُوا۟
then be just
وَلَوْ
even if
كَانَ
he is
ذَا
(one of)
قُرْبَىٰۖ
a near relative
وَبِعَهْدِ
And (the) Covenant
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
أَوْفُوا۟ۚ
fulfil
ذَٰلِكُمْ
That
وَصَّىٰكُم
(He) has enjoined on you
بِهِۦ
with it
لَعَلَّكُمْ
so that you may
تَذَكَّرُونَ
remember

Wala taqraboo mala alyateemi illa biallatee hiya ahsanu hatta yablugha ashuddahu waawfoo alkayla waalmeezana bialqisti la nukallifu nafsan illa wus'aha waitha qultum fai'diloo walaw kana tha qurba wabi'ahdi Allahi awfoo thalikum wassakum bihi la'allakum tathakkaroona

Sahih International:

And do not approach the orphan's property except in a way that is best until he reaches maturity. And give full measure and weight in justice. We do not charge any soul except [with that within] its capacity. And when you testify, be just, even if [it concerns] a near relative. And the covenant of Allah fulfill. This has He instructed you that you may remember.

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [10] Yunus : 47

وَلِكُلِّ اُمَّةٍ رَّسُوۡلٌ‌ ۚ فَاِذَا جَآءَ رَسُوۡلُهُمۡ قُضِىَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ بِالۡقِسۡطِ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُوۡنَ(يونس :47)

وَلِكُلِّ
And for every
أُمَّةٍ
nation
رَّسُولٌۖ
(is) a Messenger
فَإِذَا
So when
جَآءَ
comes
رَسُولُهُمْ
their Messenger
قُضِىَ
it will be judged
بَيْنَهُم
between them
بِٱلْقِسْطِ
in justice
وَهُمْ
and they
لَا
(will) not
يُظْلَمُونَ
be wronged

Walikulli ommatin rasoolun faitha jaa rasooluhum qudiya baynahum bialqisti wahum la yuthlamoona

Sahih International:

And for every nation is a messenger. So when their messenger comes, it will be judged between them in justice, and they will not be wronged

Surah [10] Yunus : 74

ثُمَّ بَعَثۡنَا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهٖ رُسُلًا اِلٰى قَوۡمِهِمۡ فَجَآءُوۡهُمۡ بِالۡبَيِّنٰتِ فَمَا كَانُوۡا لِيُؤۡمِنُوۡا بِمَا كَذَّبُوۡا بِهٖ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ‌ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ نَطۡبَعُ عَلٰى قُلُوۡبِ الۡمُعۡتَدِيۡنَ(يونس :74)

ثُمَّ
Then
بَعَثْنَا
We sent
مِنۢ
after him
بَعْدِهِۦ
after him
رُسُلًا
Messengers
إِلَىٰ
to
قَوْمِهِمْ
their people
فَجَآءُوهُم
and they came to them
بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ
with clear proofs
فَمَا
But not
كَانُوا۟
they were
لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟
to believe
بِمَا
what
كَذَّبُوا۟
they had denied
بِهِۦ
[it]
مِن
before
قَبْلُۚ
before
كَذَٰلِكَ
Thus
نَطْبَعُ
We seal
عَلَىٰ
[on]
قُلُوبِ
the hearts
ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ
(of) the transgressors

Thumma ba'athna min ba'dihi rusulan ila qawmihim fajaoohum bialbayyinati fama kanoo liyuminoo bima kaththaboo bihi min qablu kathalika natba'u 'ala quloobi almu'tadeena

Sahih International:

Then We sent after him messengers to their peoples, and they came to them with clear proofs. But they were not to believe in that which they had denied before. Thus We seal over the hearts of the transgressors

Tafsir (More Translations)
Surah [11] Hud : 118

وَلَوۡ شَآءَ رَبُّكَ لَجَـعَلَ النَّاسَ اُمَّةً وَّاحِدَةً‌ وَّلَا يَزَالُوۡنَ مُخۡتَلِفِيۡنَۙ(هود :118)

وَلَوْ
And if
شَآءَ
your Lord (had) willed
رَبُّكَ
your Lord (had) willed
لَجَعَلَ
surely He (could) have made
ٱلنَّاسَ
the mankind
أُمَّةً
one community
وَٰحِدَةًۖ
one community
وَلَا
but not
يَزَالُونَ
they will cease
مُخْتَلِفِينَ
to differ

Walaw shaa rabbuka laja'ala alnnasa ommatan wahidatan wala yazaloona mukhtalifeena

Sahih International:

And if your Lord had willed, He could have made mankind one community; but they will not cease to differ.
