وَاِسۡمٰعِيۡلَ وَالۡيَسَعَ وَيُوۡنُسَ وَلُوۡطًا ؕ وَكُلًّا فَضَّلۡنَا عَلَى الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَۙ(الأنعام :86)
Waisma'eela wailyasa'a wayoonusa walootan wakullan faddalna 'ala al'alameena
Sahih International:
And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot - and all [of them] We preferred over the worlds.
وَاذۡكُرُوۡۤا اِذۡ جَعَلَـكُمۡ خُلَفَآءَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ عَادٍ وَّبَوَّاَكُمۡ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ تَـتَّخِذُوۡنَ مِنۡ سُهُوۡلِهَا قُصُوۡرًا وَّتَـنۡحِتُوۡنَ الۡجِبَالَ بُيُوۡتًا ۚ فَاذۡكُرُوۡۤا اٰ لَۤاءَ اللّٰهِ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡا فِى الۡاَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِيۡنَ(الأعراف :74)
Waothkuroo ith ja'alakum khulafaa min ba'di 'adin wabawwaakum fee alardi tattakhithoona min suhooliha qusooran watanhitoona aljibala buyootan faothkuroo alaa Allahi wala ta'thaw fee alardi mufsideena
Sahih International:
And remember when He made you successors after the 'Aad and settled you in the land, [and] you take for yourselves palaces from its plains and carve from the mountains, homes. Then remember the favors of Allah and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption."
فَعَقَرُوا النَّاقَةَ وَعَتَوۡا عَنۡ اَمۡرِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَ قَالُوۡا يٰصٰلِحُ ائۡتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَاۤ اِنۡ كُنۡتَ مِنَ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ(الأعراف :77)
Fa'aqaroo alnnaqata wa'ataw 'an amri rabbihim waqaloo ya salihu itina bima ta'iduna in kunta mina almursaleena
Sahih International:
So they hamstrung the she-camel and were insolent toward the command of their Lord and said, "O Salih, bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the messengers."
وَلُوۡطًا اِذۡ قَالَ لِقَوۡمِهٖۤ اَتَاۡتُوۡنَ الۡفَاحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُمۡ بِهَا مِنۡ اَحَدٍ مِّنَ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ(الأعراف :80)
Walootan ith qala liqawmihi atatoona alfahishata ma sabaqakum biha min ahadin mina al'alameena
Sahih International:
And [We had sent] Lot when he said to his people, "Do you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds?
اِنَّكُمۡ لَـتَاۡتُوۡنَ الرِّجَالَ شَهۡوَةً مِّنۡ دُوۡنِ النِّسَآءِ ؕ بَلۡ اَنۡـتُمۡ قَوۡمٌ مُّسۡرِفُوۡنَ(الأعراف :81)
Innakum latatoona alrrijala shahwatan min dooni alnnisai bal antum qawmun musrifoona
Sahih International:
Indeed, you approach men with desire, instead of women. Rather, you are a transgressing people."
وَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوۡمِهٖۤ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ قَالُـوۡۤا اَخۡرِجُوۡهُمۡ مِّنۡ قَرۡيَتِكُمۡ ۚ اِنَّهُمۡ اُنَاسٌ يَّتَطَهَّرُوۡنَ(الأعراف :82)
Wama kana jawaba qawmihi illa an qaloo akhrijoohum min qaryatikum innahum onasun yatatahharoona
Sahih International:
But the answer of his people was only that they said, "Evict them from your city! Indeed, they are men who keep themselves pure."
فَاَنۡجَيۡنٰهُ وَاَهۡلَهٗۤ اِلَّا امۡرَاَتَهٗ ۖ كَانَتۡ مِنَ الۡغٰبِرِيۡنَ(الأعراف :83)
Faanjaynahu waahlahu illa imraatahu kanat mina alghabireena
Sahih International:
So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; she was of those who remained [with the evildoers].
وَاَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ مَّطَرًا ؕ فَانْظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الۡمُجۡرِمِيۡنَ(الأعراف :84)
Waamtarna 'alayhim mataran faonthur kayfa kana 'aqibatu almujrimeena
Sahih International:
And We rained upon them a rain [of stones]. Then see how was the end of the criminals.
قَدِ افۡتَرَيۡنَا عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا اِنۡ عُدۡنَا فِىۡ مِلَّتِكُمۡ بَعۡدَ اِذۡ نَجّٰٮنَا اللّٰهُ مِنۡهَا ؕ وَمَا يَكُوۡنُ لَـنَاۤ اَنۡ نَّعُوۡدَ فِيۡهَاۤ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ يَّشَآءَ اللّٰهُ رَبُّنَا ؕ وَسِعَ رَبُّنَا كُلَّ شَىۡءٍ عِلۡمًاؕ عَلَى اللّٰهِ تَوَكَّلۡنَا ؕ رَبَّنَا افۡتَحۡ بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَ قَوۡمِنَا بِالۡحَـقِّ وَاَنۡتَ خَيۡرُ الۡفٰتِحِيۡنَ(الأعراف :89)
Qadi iftarayna 'ala Allahi kathiban in 'udna fee millatikum ba'da ith najjana Allahu minha wama yakoonu lana an na'ooda feeha illa an yashaa Allahu rabbuna wasi'a rabbuna kulla shayin 'ilman 'ala Allahi tawakkalna rabbana iftah baynana wabayna qawmina bialhaqqi waanta khayru alfatiheena
Sahih International:
We would have invented against Allah a lie if we returned to your religion after Allah had saved us from it. And it is not for us to return to it except that Allah, our Lord, should will. Our Lord has encompassed all things in knowledge. Upon Allah we have relied. Our Lord, decide between us and our people in truth, and You are the best of those who give decision."
فَلَمَّا رَاٰۤ اَيۡدِيَهُمۡ لَا تَصِلُ اِلَيۡهِ نَـكِرَهُمۡ وَاَوۡجَسَ مِنۡهُمۡ خِيۡفَةً ؕ قَالُوۡا لَا تَخَفۡ اِنَّاۤ اُرۡسِلۡنَاۤ اِلٰى قَوۡمِ لُوۡطٍ(هود :70)
Falamma raa aydiyahum la tasilu ilayhi nakirahum waawjasa minhum kheefatan qaloo la takhaf inna orsilna ila qawmi lootin
Sahih International:
But when he saw their hands not reaching for it, he distrusted them and felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not. We have been sent to the people of Lot."
