اَلَّذِيۡنَ اٰتَيۡنٰهُمُ الۡكِتٰبَ يَتۡلُوۡنَهٗ حَقَّ تِلَاوَتِهٖؕ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِهٖ ؕ وَمَنۡ يَّكۡفُرۡ بِهٖ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡخٰسِرُوۡنَ(البقرة :121)
Allatheena ataynahumu alkitaba yatloonahu haqqa tilawatihi olaika yuminoona bihi waman yakfur bihi faolaika humu alkhasiroona
Sahih International:
Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital. They [are the ones who] believe in it. And whoever disbelieves in it - it is they who are the losers.
وَلَـنَبۡلُوَنَّكُمۡ بِشَىۡءٍ مِّنَ الۡخَـوۡفِ وَالۡجُـوۡعِ وَنَقۡصٍ مِّنَ الۡاَمۡوَالِ وَالۡاَنۡفُسِ وَالثَّمَرٰتِؕ وَبَشِّرِ الصّٰبِرِيۡنَۙ(البقرة :155)
Walanabluwannakum bishayin mina alkhawfi waaljoo'i wanaqsin mina alamwali waalanfusi waalththamarati wabashshiri alssabireena
Sahih International:
And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient,
الَّذِيۡنَ يَنۡقُضُوۡنَ عَهۡدَ اللّٰهِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مِيۡثَاقِهٖ وَيَقۡطَعُوۡنَ مَآ اَمَرَ اللّٰهُ بِهٖۤ اَنۡ يُّوۡصَلَ وَيُفۡسِدُوۡنَ فِى الۡاَرۡضِؕ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡخٰسِرُوۡنَ(البقرة :27)
Allatheena yanqudoona 'ahda Allahi min ba'di meethaqihi wayaqta'oona ma amara Allahu bihi an yoosala wayufsidoona fee alardi olaika humu alkhasiroona
Sahih International:
Who break the covenant of Allah after contracting it and sever that which Allah has ordered to be joined and cause corruption on earth. It is those who are the losers.
ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِ ذٰلِكَۚ فَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهٗ لَـكُنۡتُمۡ مِّنَ الۡخٰسِرِيۡنَ(البقرة :64)
Thumma tawallaytum min ba'di thalika falawla fadlu Allahi 'alaykum warahmatuhu lakuntum mina alkhasireena
Sahih International:
Then you turned away after that. And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, you would have been among the losers.
يٰۤـاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اِنۡ تُطِيۡعُوا الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا يَرُدُّوۡكُمۡ عَلٰٓى اَعۡقَابِكُمۡ فَتَـنۡقَلِبُوۡا خٰسِرِيۡنَ(آل عمران :149)
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo in tutee'oo allatheena kafaroo yaruddookum 'ala a'qabikum fatanqaliboo khasireena
Sahih International:
O you who have believed, if you obey those who disbelieve, they will turn you back on your heels, and you will [then] become losers.
وَّلَاُضِلَّـنَّهُمۡ وَلَاُمَنِّيَنَّهُمۡ وَلَاٰمُرَنَّهُمۡ فَلَيُبَـتِّكُنَّ اٰذَانَ الۡاَنۡعَامِ وَلَاٰمُرَنَّهُمۡ فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلۡقَ اللّٰهِؕ وَمَنۡ يَّتَّخِذِ الشَّيۡطٰنَ وَلِيًّا مِّنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ فَقَدۡ خَسِرَ خُسۡرَانًا مُّبِيۡنًا(النساء :119)
Walaodillannahum walaomanniyannahum walaamurannahum falayubattikunna athana alan'ami walaamurannahum falayughayyirunna khalqa Allahi waman yattakhithi alshshaytana waliyyan min dooni Allahi faqad khasira khusranan mubeenan
Sahih International:
And I will mislead them, and I will arouse in them [sinful] desires, and I will command them so they will slit the ears of cattle, and I will command them so they will change the creation of Allah ." And whoever takes Satan as an ally instead of Allah has certainly sustained a clear loss.
فَطَوَّعَتۡ لَهٗ نَفۡسُهٗ قَـتۡلَ اَخِيۡهِ فَقَتَلَهٗ فَاَصۡبَحَ مِنَ الۡخٰسِرِيۡنَ(المائدة :30)
Fatawwa'at lahu nafsuhu qatla akheehi faqatalahu faasbaha mina alkhasireena
Sahih International:
And his soul permitted to him the murder of his brother, so he killed him and became among the losers.
اَلۡيَوۡمَ اُحِلَّ لَـكُمُ الطَّيِّبٰتُ ؕ وَطَعَامُ الَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡتُوۡا الۡكِتٰبَ حِلٌّ لَّـکُمۡ ۖ وَطَعَامُكُمۡ حِلٌّ لَّهُمۡ وَالۡمُحۡصَنٰتُ مِنَ الۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ وَالۡمُحۡصَنٰتُ مِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡتُوا الۡـكِتٰبَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِكُمۡ اِذَاۤ اٰتَيۡتُمُوۡهُنَّ اُجُوۡرَهُنَّ مُحۡصِنِيۡنَ غَيۡرَ مُسَافِحِيۡنَ وَلَا مُتَّخِذِىۡۤ اَخۡدَانٍؕ وَمَنۡ يَّكۡفُرۡ بِالۡاِيۡمَانِ فَقَدۡ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهٗ وَهُوَ فِى الۡاٰخِرَةِ مِنَ الۡخٰسِرِيۡنَ(المائدة :5)
Alyawma ohilla lakumu alttayyibatu wata'amu allatheena ootoo alkitaba hillun lakum wata'amukum hillun lahum waalmuhsanatu mina almuminati waalmuhsanatu mina allatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablikum itha ataytumoohunna ojoorahunna muhsineena ghayra musafiheena wala muttakhithee akhdanin waman yakfur bialeemani faqad habita 'amaluhu wahuwa fee alakhirati mina alkhasireena
Sahih International:
This day [all] good foods have been made lawful, and the food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them. And [lawful in marriage are] chaste women from among the believers and chaste women from among those who were given the Scripture before you, when you have given them their due compensation, desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse or taking [secret] lovers. And whoever denies the faith - his work has become worthless, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.
وَيَقُوۡلُ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اَهٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ الَّذِيۡنَ اَقۡسَمُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ جَهۡدَ اَيۡمَانِهِمۡۙ اِنَّهُمۡ لَمَعَكُمۡ ؕ حَبِطَتۡ اَعۡمَالُهُمۡ فَاَصۡبَحُوۡا خٰسِرِيۡنَ(المائدة :53)
Wayaqoolu allatheena amanoo ahaolai allatheena aqsamoo biAllahi jahda aymanihim innahum lama'akum habitat a'maluhum faasbahoo khasireena
Sahih International:
And those who believe will say, "Are these the ones who swore by Allah their strongest oaths that indeed they were with you?" Their deeds have become worthless, and they have become losers.
قُلْ لِّمَنۡ مَّا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِؕ قُلْ لِّلّٰهِؕ كَتَبَ عَلٰى نَفۡسِهِ الرَّحۡمَةَ ؕ لَيَجۡمَعَنَّكُمۡ اِلٰى يَوۡمِ الۡقِيٰمَةِ لَا رَيۡبَ فِيۡهِ ؕ اَلَّذِيۡنَ خَسِرُوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ(الأنعام :12)
Qul liman ma fee alssamawati waalardi qul lillahi kataba 'ala nafsihi alrrahmata layajma'annakum ila yawmi alqiyamati la rayba feehi allatheena khasiroo anfusahum fahum la yuminoona
Sahih International:
Say, "To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth?" Say, "To Allah ." He has decreed upon Himself mercy. He will surely assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. Those who will lose themselves [that Day] do not believe.
