اِنَّ اللّٰهَ رَبِّيْ وَرَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوْهُ ۗهٰذَا صِرَاطٌ مُّسْتَقِيْمٌ  ( آل عمران: ٥١ )

inna
إِنَّ
Indeed
l-laha
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
rabbī
رَبِّى
(is) my Lord
warabbukum
وَرَبُّكُمْ
and your Lord
fa-uʿ'budūhu
فَٱعْبُدُوهُۗ
so worship Him
hādhā
هَٰذَا
This
ṣirāṭun
صِرَٰطٌ
(is) the path"
mus'taqīmun
مُّسْتَقِيمٌ
straight"

Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is the straight path.'"

Tafsir

۞ فَلَمَّآ اَحَسَّ عِيْسٰى مِنْهُمُ الْكُفْرَ قَالَ مَنْ اَنْصَارِيْٓ اِلَى اللّٰهِ ۗ قَالَ الْحَوَارِيُّوْنَ نَحْنُ اَنْصَارُ اللّٰهِ ۚ اٰمَنَّا بِاللّٰهِ ۚ وَاشْهَدْ بِاَنَّا مُسْلِمُوْنَ  ( آل عمران: ٥٢ )

falammā
فَلَمَّآ
Then when
aḥassa
أَحَسَّ
perceived
ʿīsā
عِيسَىٰ
Isa
min'humu
مِنْهُمُ
from them
l-kuf'ra
ٱلْكُفْرَ
[the] disbelief
qāla
قَالَ
he said
man
مَنْ
"Who
anṣārī
أَنصَارِىٓ
(will be) my helpers
ilā
إِلَى
to
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِۖ
Allah"
qāla
قَالَ
Said
l-ḥawāriyūna
ٱلْحَوَارِيُّونَ
the disciples
naḥnu
نَحْنُ
"We
anṣāru
أَنصَارُ
(will be the) helpers
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
āmannā
ءَامَنَّا
we believe[d]
bil-lahi
بِٱللَّهِ
in Allah
wa-ish'had
وَٱشْهَدْ
and bear witness
bi-annā
بِأَنَّا
that we
mus'limūna
مُسْلِمُونَ
(are) Muslims

But when Jesus felt [persistence in] disbelief from them, he said, "Who are my supporters for [the cause of] Allah?" The disciples said, "We are supporters for Allah. We have believed in Allah and testify that we are Muslims [submitting to Him].

Tafsir

رَبَّنَآ اٰمَنَّا بِمَآ اَنْزَلْتَ وَاتَّبَعْنَا الرَّسُوْلَ فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشّٰهِدِيْنَ  ( آل عمران: ٥٣ )

rabbanā
رَبَّنَآ
Our Lord
āmannā
ءَامَنَّا
we believe[d]
bimā
بِمَآ
in what
anzalta
أَنزَلْتَ
You revealed
wa-ittabaʿnā
وَٱتَّبَعْنَا
and we follow[ed]
l-rasūla
ٱلرَّسُولَ
the Messenger
fa-uk'tub'nā
فَٱكْتُبْنَا
then write us
maʿa
مَعَ
among
l-shāhidīna
ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ
the witnesses"

Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and have followed the messenger [i.e., Jesus], so register us among the witnesses [to truth]."

Tafsir

وَمَكَرُوْا وَمَكَرَ اللّٰهُ ۗوَاللّٰهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِيْنَ ࣖ  ( آل عمران: ٥٤ )

wamakarū
وَمَكَرُوا۟
And they schemed
wamakara
وَمَكَرَ
and planned
l-lahu
ٱللَّهُۖ
Allah
wal-lahu
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
khayru
خَيْرُ
(is the) best
l-mākirīna
ٱلْمَٰكِرِينَ
(of) the planners

And they [i.e., the disbelievers] planned, but Allah planned. And Allah is the best of planners.

Tafsir

اِذْ قَالَ اللّٰهُ يٰعِيْسٰٓى اِنِّيْ مُتَوَفِّيْكَ وَرَافِعُكَ اِلَيَّ وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَجَاعِلُ الَّذِيْنَ اتَّبَعُوْكَ فَوْقَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اِلٰى يَوْمِ الْقِيٰمَةِ ۚ ثُمَّ اِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَاَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ فِيْمَا كُنْتُمْ فِيْهِ تَخْتَلِفُوْنَ  ( آل عمران: ٥٥ )

When

said
l-lahu
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
yāʿīsā
يَٰعِيسَىٰٓ
"O Isa!
innī
إِنِّى
Indeed, I
mutawaffīka
مُتَوَفِّيكَ
(will) take you
warāfiʿuka
وَرَافِعُكَ
and raise you
ilayya
إِلَىَّ
to Myself
wamuṭahhiruka
وَمُطَهِّرُكَ
and purify you
mina
مِنَ
from
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
kafarū
كَفَرُوا۟
disbelieve[d]
wajāʿilu
وَجَاعِلُ
and I will make
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
ittabaʿūka
ٱتَّبَعُوكَ
follow[ed] you
fawqa
فَوْقَ
superior
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
(to) those who
kafarū
كَفَرُوٓا۟
disbelieve[d]
ilā
إِلَىٰ
on
yawmi
يَوْمِ
(the) Day
l-qiyāmati
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِۖ
(of) [the] Resurrection
thumma
ثُمَّ
Then
ilayya
إِلَىَّ
to Me
marjiʿukum
مَرْجِعُكُمْ
(is) your return
fa-aḥkumu
فَأَحْكُمُ
and I will judge
baynakum
بَيْنَكُمْ
between you
fīmā
فِيمَا
about what
kuntum
كُنتُمْ
you were
fīhi
فِيهِ
[in it]
takhtalifūna
تَخْتَلِفُونَ
differing

[Mention] when Allah said, "O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify [i.e., free] you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you [in submission to Allah alone] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ.

Tafsir

فَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا فَاُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِيْدًا فِى الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِۖ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِّنْ نّٰصِرِيْنَ   ( آل عمران: ٥٦ )

fa-ammā
فَأَمَّا
Then as for
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
kafarū
كَفَرُوا۟
disbelieve[d]
fa-uʿadhibuhum
فَأُعَذِّبُهُمْ
then I will punish them
ʿadhāban
عَذَابًا
(with) a punishment
shadīdan
شَدِيدًا
severe
فِى
in
l-dun'yā
ٱلدُّنْيَا
the world
wal-ākhirati
وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
and (in) the Hereafter
wamā
وَمَا
And not
lahum
لَهُم
for them
min
مِّن
[of]
nāṣirīna
نَّٰصِرِينَ
(any) helpers

And as for those who disbelieved, I will punish them with a severe punishment in this world and the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers."

Tafsir

وَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فَيُوَفِّيْهِمْ اُجُوْرَهُمْ ۗ وَاللّٰهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ  ( آل عمران: ٥٧ )

wa-ammā
وَأَمَّا
And as for
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
āmanū
ءَامَنُوا۟
believe[d]
waʿamilū
وَعَمِلُوا۟
and did
l-ṣāliḥāti
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
[the] righteous deeds
fayuwaffīhim
فَيُوَفِّيهِمْ
then He will grant them in full
ujūrahum
أُجُورَهُمْۗ
their reward
wal-lahu
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
لَا
(does) not
yuḥibbu
يُحِبُّ
love
l-ẓālimīna
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
the wrongdoers

But as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, He will give them in full their rewards, and Allah does not like the wrongdoers.

Tafsir

ذٰلِكَ نَتْلُوْهُ عَلَيْكَ مِنَ الْاٰيٰتِ وَالذِّكْرِ الْحَكِيْمِ   ( آل عمران: ٥٨ )

dhālika
ذَٰلِكَ
That
natlūhu
نَتْلُوهُ
(is what) We recite [it]
ʿalayka
عَلَيْكَ
to you
mina
مِنَ
of
l-āyāti
ٱلْءَايَٰتِ
the Verses
wal-dhik'ri
وَٱلذِّكْرِ
and the Reminder -
l-ḥakīmi
ٱلْحَكِيمِ
[the] Wise

This is what We recite to you, [O Muhammad], of [Our] verses and the precise [and wise] message [i.e., the Quran].

Tafsir

اِنَّ مَثَلَ عِيْسٰى عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ كَمَثَلِ اٰدَمَ ۗ خَلَقَهٗ مِنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهٗ كُنْ فَيَكُوْنُ  ( آل عمران: ٥٩ )

إِنَّ
Indeed
mathala
مَثَلَ
(the) likeness
ʿīsā
عِيسَىٰ
(of) Isa
ʿinda
عِندَ
near
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
kamathali
كَمَثَلِ
(is) like (the) likeness
ādama
ءَادَمَۖ
(of) Adam
khalaqahu
خَلَقَهُۥ
He created him
min
مِن
from
turābin
تُرَابٍ
dust
thumma
ثُمَّ
then
qāla
قَالَ
He said
lahu
لَهُۥ
to him
kun
كُن
"Be"
fayakūnu
فَيَكُونُ
and he was

Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was.

Tafsir

اَلْحَقُّ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ فَلَا تَكُنْ مِّنَ الْمُمْتَرِيْنَ  ( آل عمران: ٦٠ )

al-ḥaqu
ٱلْحَقُّ
The truth
min
مِن
(is) from
rabbika
رَّبِّكَ
your Lord
falā
فَلَا
so (do) not
takun
تَكُن
be
mina
مِّنَ
among
l-mum'tarīna
ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ
the doubters

The truth is from your Lord, so do not be among the doubters.
