وَاِلٰى ثَمُوۡدَ اَخَاهُمۡ صٰلِحًا ۘ قَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ اعۡبُدُوۡا اللّٰهَ مَا لَـكُمۡ مِّنۡ اِلٰهٍ غَيۡرُهٗ ؕ قَدۡ جَآءَتۡكُمۡ بَيِّنَةٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّكُمۡ ؕ هٰذِهٖ نَاقَةُ اللّٰهِ لَـكُمۡ اٰيَةً فَذَرُوۡهَا تَاۡكُلۡ فِىۡۤ اَرۡضِ اللّٰهِ وَلَا تَمَسُّوۡهَا بِسُوۡٓءٍ فَيَاۡخُذَكُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَ لِيۡمٌ(الأعراف :73)
Waila thamooda akhahum salihan qala ya qawmi o'budoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu qad jaatkum bayyinatun min rabbikum hathihi naqatu Allahi lakum ayatan fatharooha takul fee ardi Allahi wala tamassooha bisooin fayakhuthakum 'athabun aleemun
Sahih International:
And to the Thamud [We sent] their brother Salih. He said, "O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. There has come to you clear evidence from your Lord. This is the she-camel of Allah [sent] to you as a sign. So leave her to eat within Allah 's land and do not touch her with harm, lest there seize you a painful punishment.
وَاذۡكُرُوۡۤا اِذۡ جَعَلَـكُمۡ خُلَفَآءَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ عَادٍ وَّبَوَّاَكُمۡ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ تَـتَّخِذُوۡنَ مِنۡ سُهُوۡلِهَا قُصُوۡرًا وَّتَـنۡحِتُوۡنَ الۡجِبَالَ بُيُوۡتًا ۚ فَاذۡكُرُوۡۤا اٰ لَۤاءَ اللّٰهِ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡا فِى الۡاَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِيۡنَ(الأعراف :74)
Waothkuroo ith ja'alakum khulafaa min ba'di 'adin wabawwaakum fee alardi tattakhithoona min suhooliha qusooran watanhitoona aljibala buyootan faothkuroo alaa Allahi wala ta'thaw fee alardi mufsideena
Sahih International:
And remember when He made you successors after the 'Aad and settled you in the land, [and] you take for yourselves palaces from its plains and carve from the mountains, homes. Then remember the favors of Allah and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption."
قَالَ الۡمَلَاُ الَّذِيۡنَ اسۡتَكۡبَرُوۡا مِنۡ قَوۡمِهٖ لِلَّذِيۡنَ اسۡتُضۡعِفُوۡا لِمَنۡ اٰمَنَ مِنۡهُمۡ اَتَعۡلَمُوۡنَ اَنَّ صٰلِحًا مُّرۡسَلٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّهٖؕ قَالُـوۡۤا اِنَّا بِمَاۤ اُرۡسِلَ بِهٖ مُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ(الأعراف :75)
Qala almalao allatheena istakbaroo min qawmihi lillatheena istud'ifoo liman amana minhum ata'lamoona anna salihan mursalun min rabbihi qaloo inna bima orsila bihi muminoona
Sahih International:
Said the eminent ones who were arrogant among his people to those who were oppressed - to those who believed among them, "Do you [actually] know that Salih is sent from his Lord?" They said, "Indeed we, in that with which he was sent, are believers."
قَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ اسۡتَكۡبَرُوۡۤا اِنَّا بِالَّذِىۡۤ اٰمَنۡتُمۡ بِهٖ كٰفِرُوۡنَ(الأعراف :76)
Qala allatheena istakbaroo inna biallathee amantum bihi kafiroona
Sahih International:
Said those who were arrogant, "Indeed we, in that which you have believed, are disbelievers."
فَعَقَرُوا النَّاقَةَ وَعَتَوۡا عَنۡ اَمۡرِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَ قَالُوۡا يٰصٰلِحُ ائۡتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَاۤ اِنۡ كُنۡتَ مِنَ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ(الأعراف :77)
Fa'aqaroo alnnaqata wa'ataw 'an amri rabbihim waqaloo ya salihu itina bima ta'iduna in kunta mina almursaleena
Sahih International:
So they hamstrung the she-camel and were insolent toward the command of their Lord and said, "O Salih, bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the messengers."
فَاَخَذَتۡهُمُ الرَّجۡفَةُ فَاَصۡبَحُوۡا فِىۡ دَارِهِمۡ جٰثِمِيۡنَ(الأعراف :78)
Faakhathathumu alrrajfatu faasbahoo fee darihim jathimeena
Sahih International:
So the earthquake seized them, and they became within their home [corpses] fallen prone.
فَتَوَلّٰى عَنۡهُمۡ وَقَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ لَقَدۡ اَبۡلَغۡتُكُمۡ رِسَالَةَ رَبِّىۡ وَنَصَحۡتُ لَـكُمۡ وَلٰـكِنۡ لَّا تُحِبُّوۡنَ النّٰصِحِيۡنَ(الأعراف :79)
Fatawalla 'anhum waqala ya qawmi laqad ablaghtukum risalata rabbee wanasahtu lakum walakin la tuhibboona alnnasiheena
Sahih International:
And he turned away from them and said, "O my people, I had certainly conveyed to you the message of my Lord and advised you, but you do not like advisors."
اَلَمۡ يَاۡتِهِمۡ نَبَاُ الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ قَوۡمِ نُوۡحٍ وَّعَادٍ وَّثَمُوۡدَ ۙ وَقَوۡمِ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ وَاَصۡحٰبِ مَدۡيَنَ وَالۡمُؤۡتَفِكٰتِ ؕ اَتَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُمۡ بِالۡبَيِّنٰتِ ۚ فَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ لِيَظۡلِمَهُمۡ وَلٰـكِنۡ كَانُوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَهُمۡ يَظۡلِمُوۡنَ(التوبة :70)
Alam yatihim nabao allatheena min qablihim qawmi noohin wa'adin wathamooda waqawmi ibraheema waashabi madyana waalmutafikati atathum rusuluhum bialbayyinati fama kana Allahu liyathlimahum walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona
Sahih International:
Has there not reached them the news of those before them - the people of Noah and [the tribes of] 'Aad and Thamud and the people of Abraham and the companions of Madyan and the towns overturned? Their messengers came to them with clear proofs. And Allah would never have wronged them, but they were wronging themselves.
وَاِلٰى ثَمُوۡدَ اَخَاهُمۡ صٰلِحًاۘ قَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ اعۡبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَـكُمۡ مِّنۡ اِلٰهٍ غَيۡرُهٗ ؕ هُوَ اَنۡشَاَكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاَرۡضِ وَاسۡتَعۡمَرَكُمۡ فِيۡهَا فَاسۡتَغۡفِرُوۡهُ ثُمَّ تُوۡبُوۡۤا اِلَيۡهِ ؕ اِنَّ رَبِّىۡ قَرِيۡبٌ مُّجِيۡبٌ(هود :61)
Waila thamooda akhahum salihan qala ya qawmi o'budoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu huwa anshaakum mina alardi waista'marakum feeha faistaghfiroohu thumma tooboo ilayhi inna rabbee qareebun mujeebun
Sahih International:
And to Thamud [We sent] their brother Salih. He said, "O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. He has produced you from the earth and settled you in it, so ask forgiveness of Him and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive."
قَالُوۡا يٰصٰلِحُ قَدۡ كُنۡتَ فِيۡنَا مَرۡجُوًّا قَبۡلَ هٰذَآ اَتَـنۡهٰٮنَاۤ اَنۡ نَّـعۡبُدَ مَا يَعۡبُدُ اٰبَآؤُنَا وَاِنَّنَا لَفِىۡ شَكٍّ مِّمَّا تَدۡعُوۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡهِ مُرِيۡبٍ(هود :62)
Qaloo ya salihu qad kunta feena marjuwwan qabla hatha atanhana an na'buda ma ya'budu abaona wainnana lafee shakkin mimma tad'oona ilayhi mureebun
Sahih International:
They said, "O Salih, you were among us a man of promise before this. Do you forbid us to worship what our fathers worshipped? And indeed we are, about that to which you invite us, in disquieting doubt."
