وَمَا
And not
ظَلَمْنَٰهُمْ
We wronged them
وَلَٰكِن
but

they were
هُمُ
themselves
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
wrongdoers

Wa maa zalamnaahum wa laakin kaanoo humuz zaalimeen

And We did not wrong them, but it was they who were the wrongdoers.

Tafsir

وَنَادَوْا۟
And they will call
يَٰمَٰلِكُ
"O Malik!
لِيَقْضِ
Let put an end
عَلَيْنَا
to us
رَبُّكَۖ
your Lord"
قَالَ

hear

their secret(s)
وَنَجْوَىٰهُمۚ
and their private counsel(s)?
بَلَىٰ
Nay
